Dollar-based financial system is crumbling – Putin

The dollar-based global financial system is not balanced as it does not meet the interests of all countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club.

According to Putin, the dominance of the American currency has to end, which is already happening, while the US authorities are “shooting themselves in the foot.”

“The Bretton Woods system – it was once created on the basis of the dollar, but all this is gradually collapsing. Currency is a derivative of the power of the country’s economy, which issues this currency,”
the Russian leader pointed out.

In addition, the share of the US economy in global GDP is declining, as evidenced by statistical data, Putin emphasized.

According to the president, Washington is used to printing money in order to cover its budget deficit, and will continue the policy as long as needed.

“They will print more. They printed, well, more than $9 trillion during the Covid and post-Covid period. Therefore, it costs them nothing to print something else and scatter it all over the world, thus increasing food inflation. They will do it for sure,” Putin predicted.

He's sorta right that the US will likely to go through a nasty recession for a decade or two. It's entirely because of the US government overspending though and nothing else has much to do with it. Last weekend about 240 billion was borrowed boosting the national debt to 33.44 trillion, we were at 33 trillion a few weeks ago.

The 10 year yields are also murdering the banks, who are supposedly close to failing again like back in March. So essentially the US is killing itself, it doesn't need help in that regard.

Well, at least the US won't have to pick between being a vassal of Poo in da Loos or the Chinese Communist Party. Not yet anyway.

Yeah we know Putin and his Westoid brainrot simps and useful idiots are retarded for a long time now
Enjoy the "smart dissidents"

Are you saying an economy based on diversity and tech support is stronger than one based on oil and steel?
How's that playing out in Ukraine right now, fella?

It's because the US Government has crushed domestic production of real goods, and has been stoking a ponzi scheme of increasingly useless make-work for decades.
Now the Russians and Chinese are calling their bluff and they can't produce enough artillery shells to back it up.

Ever wonder why food is leading the inflation charge?
It's because the EPA made it impossible to produce FUCKING FERTILIZER on-shore.
Who does produce the fertilizer.. RUSSIA!
AgendaPoster can now start making excuses for how russia is inferior for having enough control over our food supply to cause spiraling inflation. The USA is so retarded they simply handed that control over, and it would take half a decade to spool up the necessary production, if there were political will (which there is not)

Basically I'm saying the real threat to the US economy right now is the Federal Government itself and anything else is a scapegoat to shift blame away from the Government.

QFT.
Our dollar is in the shitter because we don't produce anything useful anymore, even to us, so we have to import it all.
It is now impacting our military readiness and our enemies have taken advantage.

I'm not cheering Russia on because I like Russia.
I'm cheering Russia on because if they keep going someone will end the Clown World we have here on our shores, whether it be sane people rising to power or conquerers from better-managed nations rolling in and killing our clown-leaders.

Or I suppose we will follow england into Total Cuckoldry.. but that's less likely because of the wealth inherent in our territory being a tempting target for would-be conquest.

Did you buy your gold yet
Have you reported me to the DNC stasi yet for opposing our just war to defend literal waffen SS from the evil putler?

(if you don't act soon, my ilk may well end the war, and then how will we justify the sanctions on fertilizer that have driven meat out of reach of the poors! We're this close to Total Vegan Utopia and can't stop now!)

If the US doesn’t make anything, why is an auto worker strike happening in the US?

bwahahaha he thinks I'm a demonKKKrap
You run cover for literal communist show trials, and blame the victims.
I don't "think" it, you scream it at the top of your posts.

That's nice.
Now do how much we import.
Then do real wage growth.
Then track how much a pound of butter, a pound of steak, and a standard box of cereal cost us between 2018 and today.

Here's Russia's inflation numbers:

Russia's currency is stronger, objectively.
