By the time I started smoking habitually indoor smoking bans were already in effect.

At school it was an reason to talk to people outside my immediate friend group.
At work the smoking area is the best place for bants.
At bars all the best conversations and socialising was happening in the outdoor smoking area.

Being forced into the designated smoker cuck areas made me a more outgoing and sociable person, in a way that probably wouldn't have happened if I never smoked so yes it made me marginally cooler.
