Does anyone actually have a porn addiction? Like, it's impossible to not look at porn specifically or something like that? I keep hearing it thrown around constantly and I want to know because porn specifically was never the issue for me. I can masturbate without porn with ease. All the problems I had lied in me being unable to stop jerking off, even if for a couple of days.

I keep seeing "porn addiction" thrown around in cases where the problem is simply being unable to just quit masturbating.

Guaranteed. I mean, it depends on how you define "addiction," but it's essentially the same neurobiology as gambling addiction, so if that's real then porn addiction is real. And if you have any doubts about whether gambling addiction is real, just visit the BMJ thread.

The thing that really creeped me out was reading the goonclown DM leaks where somebody talks about how fucking miserable he is and somebody else tells him to look at porn to feel better, which is like... exactly what addiction is, using something outside yourself to escape distress.

The kids aren't alright.
