Do you think birds would like pot pie?

The recipe I used made 2x more than I thought it would now I'm stuck with another whole ass pie. My cat isn't interested and freezing makes it icky

I'm thinking of leaving it out for a day to let the birds have at it

The birds might eat the crust but I doubt they would eat anything else. The problem with giving people food to animals is it usually has too much salt in for animals. Also don't listen to people saying give it to Raccoons. You don't want to feed wild animals near your house. The raccoons might not even take it. But if you want to do it then take it some where away from your house. I speak from experience. You don't want animals like raccoons coming around your house looking for food. They have a tendency to tear stuff up. They can be a real nuisance. It's best to just throw it in the trash. Next time make less.

In the dead of winter, maybe. If food is scarce enough they'll eat anything. But this time of year there's abundance so if it's not appetizing they won't eat it.

Do you have anyone who might like the pie? Will a church take it? Maybe a shelter or soup kitchen?
