do you support universal paternal testing?

I don’t support making any laws allowing Big Government to further restrict our rights, in this instance specifically, our medical freedom.

I’m not sure how these tests are done. Would whoever owns these testing facilities store, use or sell people’s DNA or information?

This should be a personal decision. Men can take their child and get them tested, no government mandate needed.

What benefit is there in keeping a couple together if the only thing stopping them from cheating is fear of exposure? If the thought of legally ‘disincentivizing’ adultery gives you comfort you have a big problem in your relationship.
The only people negativily effected are women who cheat. so idk what the issue here is. People who get cheated on are victims that should know.

Thank you for clarifying this is not actually about disincentivizing anything. Good luck telling healthy couples they have to do a paternity test at their own expense, unless you expect to convince the taxpayer they should fund exposure of cheating, but only if the woman cheats, and only if a child is produced. Unless going on Maury is also mandatory, I’d pay for that.

I dont think it should be a mandate but I believe the doctors should give the potential father the option at time of birth. Better to rip the band-aid off sooner than to find out later and have your life ruined.

paternity tests help children with rate genetic disorders or paternal health issues. If the father has an health issue that the child does not know, it could cost the child its life.

So the plan is to track down the actual father and force him to do genetic testing?

Fathers have responsibilities to their children if they want them or not. Doubly so if it affects the health of the child.
hello sir, I'm from the paternity enforcement squad, you'll be delighted to hear you have a child you don't know about, please report to your nearest Quest lab so we may check your cholesterol
