I always have the hottest take of the dark side of the moon album being the best. The reason being is they got really experimental after that album and made all the songs even longer and at times would loose agency in the music. (I know they were super experimental when they first started but it’s not as crazy as the end) I think the first album had all it needed to say in the timeframe it was recorded in. Also interstellar overdrive, wish you were here, Arnold layne, comfortably numb and (my favorite of the syd era) jugband blues.
Your hot take is that the album that spent like a decade on the hot 100 is the best?
I'm sure Pink Floyd fans will probably disagree with it but the masses sure as hell didn't.

I was never a fan. Didn't like Metallica or Nirvana either, so, I guess it's a common thread.
pink floyd is great. but i agree on the other two. never was a metallica fan, and i was only briefly a nirvana fan when i was an angsty faggot teen, but i soon outgrew them. ive tried to listen to their music now and it is just cringy, is this really what so many people in the early 90s thought was the best thing ever?

They are alright, but I am not a massive fan. I'll listen to them if they are on. Back when I was a teenager, I spent an inordinate amount of time listening to stations that played songs from the 60s and 70s just so I could understand MST3K better. They made so many song references and I was like 'wut?' but I really liked the show. YES I AM AUTISTIC.
