I do believe there are things that the human mind is not meant to comprehend. I always wondered if we lived on like a molecule inside of another creature, like we’re are the germs of another being.

Yet you comprehend that? Where does the line of what you can’t comprehend presuming to not comprehend fall on the side of what you comprehend?

We may actually be in agreement concerning the brain not being the most effective organizing device in the course of correlating its contents or perceptions.
 
The laws of physics do not work for the first Planck instant after the Big Bang. Every physicist in the world admits this, and, if they're true and honest, admits that they are nowhere near coming up with an explanation for it. That's why they keep searching for new particles that can explain it, but every one they discover, or think they discover, still doesn't get them closer to a solution. That's why they have to keep looking for new ones

So yes, the 'supernatural' in some form exists. It undeniably existed billions of years ago and there's no reason to think it does not still exist today
 
Yes, probably. Seems to me the real question here is whether the physical universe is a closed system. It MIGHT be, but I seriously doubt it.

I lean towards demon's being real, but outside of some controversial takes about why that is, I personally have had 1 experience with what I assume to be a demon in real life, but when it was when I was a child, and that was the only empirical evidence I personally saw/experienced in the real world.

Wasn't anything too spooky or crazy, was some small pot bellied figure a bit bigger than a barbie doll, almost kind of looked like a hologram that said thank you to me in my room.

Naturally I got extremely freaked out and ran out of my room. Nothing like that ever happened prior to that or since then, but sometimes I think about it and worry it was thanking me for letting it corrupt me in some way, but i'm naturally a bit paranoid.

I have no idea what the fuck that thing was.
 
I think that "supernatural " phenomenon can't exist, almost by definition.

Consider this case:
We discover that magic is real, there are people who can wave their wands and cast fireballs and all that. The magic must work on some sort of mechanism in order to exist. It has to have some sort of cause, something that fuels it. We can study that cause, establish rules and catalog how and why magic acts the way it does. It may uproot our entire conception for how reality works, but it still exist within a reality with consistent rules. Now apply this to all "supernatural" phenomenon, and they all become "weird, unexpected, but natural" phenomenon

There are only two holes in this argument:
One is the idea that a supernatural phenomenon might not have a cause. Maybe a ghost just appears just because, and there is no consistency to its existence. I doubt the universe would just shrug its shoulders and do something for no reason, but if it does then I really need to rethink my metaphysics.

The other, more plausible hole is that in my "natural" conception of reality, everything has a cause. This of course leads to the problem of "what caused the first cause". The answer to this is: I have no clue. Maybe the laws of physics have always existed, or maybe there's a God, or maybe there's some rule of reality that exists just because.

Well, since you asked, the biggest one is that quite simply the physical universe can't account for its own existence. It's a finite thing. That means almost by definition that it's contingent on something else. Whatever that thing is, it can't be part of nature, or it would be subject to those same limitations. (Unless you define "nature" as "anything that exists", but that's sort of silly. In this case I'm using "nature" as "things that are subject to the laws of physics".)

Also, things like visions, spirits, and miraculous healings are known to pretty much every society except ours. Sure, a lot of them probably have a more mundane explanation, but enough of them are much harder to explain that I can't write them off.

That's the tricky thing about being a naturalist. You can't be wrong even once.
 
Chris hatched from an egg in some esoteric ritual, and is completely immune to human emotions like shame. He speaks only in demonic jibberish. I defy you to look Chris in the eye, and then tell me he is human, or that he adheres to ANY natural laws.

Anyone who has witnessed Chris, and STILL rejects the supernatural is just living in denial.
