My recollection is they mostly died off around 2014 or so and that the current MLP cartoon hasn't attracted the same amount of attention. At the same time I've heard the latest "kids cartoon with an autistic adult fanbase" craze is something called Bluey (which I've never watched and have not heard about in months so maybe it was a flash in the pan).

I guess this is a two-part question:

ONE - Does anyone care about Your Little Pony anymore?
TWO - What, if anything, IS the current "kids cartoon with autistic adult fanbase"?

2014? Bro the cartoon was still being produced until 2019. The brony fandom was alive and well for all of it. After the show's cancellation and replacement with whatever the new series is called the fandom fragmented. Some bronies adopted the new series and continue to be fans, others stayed behind and refused to leave the earlier version. The brony fad as we know it has mostly tapered off. Bronycon held its final convention in 2019 and ended alongside the show. A couple smaller conventions stuck around after that but I don't know if they're still having gatherings in 2024.

To answer your second question Bluey is the new "kids cartoon with autistic adult fanbase". Stay far away from any adult with a Bluey avatar.

Yes, they're still around, they pooled their autism together and made a silver round last year.

What the fuck even is Bluey anyway? I never watched it and all the images I've seen show some boring blue dog that looks like it could be any cartoon made in the last ten years, and with a name like "Bluey" it almost feels like one of those "I came up with a character ten minutes before a meeting I wasn't prepared for" ideas.

Don't ask me man I don't know. :lit:

I'm pretty sure the name "Bluey" comes from the blue heeler dog breed, that's my guess based on how the dog is drawn. Other than that I haven't gotten close enough to the show to know a single thing about it.

Yes, they are still around. But they are very few now. The show they did watch is finished and the new one is trash slock that even bronies hate. The lack of new things causes them to slowly drift to other places on the internet.

I met one IRL totally organically last year, looked just like one of those greasy nerds from the X Minutes of Autism documentary, also claimed to be trans despite making zero effort to pass. legally changed their name to a mish-mash of names from the show. I was still questioning my intuition until I saw them walk to their car and it had like five pony plushes on the dashboard

Bluey (1976 TV series)

1976 crime drama television series

Bluey is an Australian television series made by Crawford Productions for the Seven Network in 1976.

The series was a police drama from Crawford Productions, but was different from their previous series—Homicide, Division 4 and Matlock Police—in that it focused on a single detective rather than an ensemble, and that the characters were not stock standard archetypes usually seen in police dramas. Stand-up comedian Lucky Grills was cast as the titular Det. Sgt. "Bluey" Hills who, in contrast to the relatively straight detectives seen in Crawford's previous shows, was obese, drank heavily (even on duty), smoked heavily, visited local prostitutes, and would often enact physical violence on criminals.

I had people goading me to buy one but I told them to shut up because of how overdetailed and gaudy that fucking round is (yes it's a round not a coin dumbo), thing is like those challenge coins the mongs in congress give each other as buttpats.
Real gig now's the machine learning field, the system's honse all the way down to the point one of the top guys in the field is the "my little resume" guy, weeb faggots slinging out shitty nekoarc cover slop can't even comprehend it since it's getting to the point of people training data sets to automate animating.
Also total brony death nobody likes /co/ this is /b/ turf

Yes, but mostly spergs.
Just recently an autistic brony began raiding Team Fortress servers with bots named after his horse OC or whatever. And, to no one's surprise, this isn't the first time MLP fans make the game unplayable.

idk

Without powerleveling too much, I worked with a guy with a "BRONY" vanity license plate recently. He was at least 300lbs and I'm 90% sure he's a furry but he was competent and surprisingly well adjusted, but he still tried to bring up the show at least once. There are ride-or-dies out there.

Bronies lurk among us. I explained to my husband what bronies were, and he asked where they all are now. I told him to ask the nerdy anime guy at work if he ever watched the show and to watch his reaction. When he did, the nerds eyes widened and he fell silent before bursting out that it was actually really good if you give it a chance. You all can try it too.
