BiC write-up about a Doomcock video. Seems like wishcasting, but with the economic realities of this year, it'd be the best possible outcome. People want to be entertained!

Disney's revenue is way down this year for obvious reasons, but they're probably missing out on a lot of possible audience on Disney Channel & Disney + because so many people are just sick of their bullshit. We can hope, anyway.

Sounds too good to be true, but at the same time it was always going to come down to the bottom line of profit and SJWs do nothing but waste money and when times are desperate they might be the first to go, so I wouldn't rule this out yet.

It's called go woke go broke for a reason. Unless Disney wants yet another dark age on their hands it's time to stop thinking about politics and start focusing on the people who matter the people who will actually want to spend money on them

If it's Doomcock, then you can bet with an almost 100% certainty that it's bullshit. His rumors and predictions almost never turn out to be true and if they are, they're not leaked to him, but to other people or to the general audience. It's almost embarrassing how much he gets wrong, but it's even more concerning when other, more reputable people like Midnight's Edge take his word without an olympic swimming pool's worth of salt.

Could Disney shift to a more apolitical stance? Sure. But given their modus-operandi, it's not something that happens overnight. The way it would start is to stop hiring marxists and slowly, over time, begin shedding the ones they already have in a way that looks just like a natural firing than it does for political reasons. A process like that takes years.

Interesting the problem is Disney have not produced something truly spectacular in a while its always average or above average but nothing truly interesting. The last film I truly really loved was Big Hero 6 as it dealt with death and grief, it was somewhat predictable but still nice for something to deal with it in a good way.

Pixar have been shit for a while, onward was OK but nowhere good compared to their older work.

The park is over expensive and too corporate foreigners want to get real America and due to Disney being woke people are averted from them by proxy.

Why are they doing this? The guy is a depressed alcoholic who believes everything he reads on /tv/ including that made up rumor about Alex Kurtzman throwing tantrums in his office everytime someone mentions "Doomcock".
The megalomania is easily one of the most frustrating things about Doomcock. I can believe that some insiders do watch the videos of the "fandom menace". Clownfish TV is a more reputable source who used to work for Disney so I'm more inclined to believe them, but even they have said that the people that watch the videos criticizing their companies are not the actual creators, screenwriters, actors, etc. It's mostly guys on the inside that you more than likely have never heard of and have little power in the companies.

Especially now that he has reached 200k subs on Youtube. He refuses to acknowledges his bullshit, says that he will never respond to "small channels" because they crave for attention and all that nonsense. He got caught several times making up "insider info" based on troll threads of 4chan but he never apologized.
These days he only makes videos to chase after the Youtube algorithm. I remember when he said that The Mandalorian was awful and that Baby Yoda needed to die in a gruesome way... except that he only watched the first 5 minutes of the first episode. His new schtick is doing live rants about a new episode of a Star Trek animated show without having seen it entirely.
It saddens me to see Midnight's Edge make videos using Doomcock as a "trusted" source.

Yeah, me too. They know how the business works and they've said that they don't make videos to hate Disney and get more clicks.

Going to Disney World is a cost/benefit analysis in normal times. I think even those who are nowhere near hardcore anti maskers would see all the restrictions and not want to deal with it. Mask covering the nose and mouth at all times, except when you're eating food. You cannot eat food while on the move and have to find a place to stop and eat. Temperature checks when you enter (if anyone in your group registers a temperature of 100.4 F or above, you can't enter). Some of the shops and restaurants are closed. No character interactions, the only time you see them is the "cavalcades" aka mini parades where they'll send some of them on a vehicle down the parade route. No parade. No fireworks, although apparently that might start up again soon.

To add insult to injury, rides like Rise of the Resistance still have broken effects. Though they did fix the hopping Brer Rabbit in Splash Mountain...while they also removed Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from the Disneyland esplanade music loop.

Wow you know this threads subtitle suddenly makes sense.... either you're the ironically named woke and feed off the teat that Disney has you by from craddle to grave. Or your have the shades on and can see just how fucked up they are and it years away you from the inside.

Favorite classic Disney film? Thought about it for a while and Sleeping Beauty nearly took the top spot but ultimately my pick would probably have to go to Pinocchio. Both Sleeping Beauty and Pinoke have fantastic art, but Pinocchio has the nuanced characters that really make the film for me.

I just had a really cool idea.

Would it be possible for Disney to make virtual recreations of defunct rides like 20k Under The Sea? Certainly there must exist detailed schematics and blueprints of these rides in their archives that if they really put their minds to it they could create virtual recreations as if they had really built the rides again, right?

I know someone did a simple video game recreation of the ride Horizons, but I'm talking all out recreations by Disney themselves, you could sell this as a video game.

What defines classic? Are we talking during Walt's lifetime, pre 1980's? 90's? Up through the 50's? Does this include the live action stuff too?

Taron and the Black Cauldron mostly because even if it was not that bad it fell really hard into obscurity.
