It is ass and very strange. The production value and effects were pretty impressive though, creepy Don Knotts puppet aside that is. Its definitely nightmare fuel for your kids if nothing else.

Hard to forget the scene with adult Mowgli stabbing Kaa in a pool of water (and Kaa not dying and coming back later to eat the villain). I think that was my biggest takeaway more than anything else.
