Ive also seen a lot of people people whining 'who would even go there? this is gonna flop' like the UAE doesn't already get like 20 million tourists per year (USA gets 60 million depspite being like 100x its size) and is also full of western/westernised expats (up to 88% of the population) who seem like exactly the type to go to this park, and its also not nearly as strict on sharia shit as they think it is.

Its not just catering to the wealthy arabs and indians etc either, even from the UK its quicker and cheaper to fly to dubai than to Orlando if they consider the paris park too lame/dated/cold, not to mention groups like wealthy russians. 5 hours from Moscow to Dubai.
Its so hard to comprehend for them that something isnt being built with them in mind, and that people from progressive countries dont inherently have the same values as them. And its also very easy for them to 'boycott' by not taking a 15 hour flight to go visit a disney park instead of their usual 3 hour USA disney flight.

Dubai visitor stats.

Dubai is a BEAUTIFUL place. And I say that as someone who hates most people over in that general area.

Sorry to be a schizo-conspiracy killjoy, but while the Brighter Days one might be believable, A113 is actually a reference to the classroom that people like Brad Bird and John Lasseter studied in at CalArts.

Yes, I wish people didn't read too far into that

One of my friends just came back from Disney World. She hasn't gone in about a decade. She was shocked to find out that the majority of the cast members were extremely rude especially since they've always been known for friendly staff. One of the instances was her trying to buy some food. The cashier then said he shouldn't have charged her for that because they're sold out. When she asked for a refund he said he can't give one and that it's her problem now. She asked if she could get something that's the same price and he told her no because she didn't order that.

She said all the other gusts were rude and frantic, too. She said she wasn't looking forward to the trip to begin with, but went because her mom and sister wanted a girls trip away. She won't be going back. She also said that the employees and guests at our local six flags park are better behaved.
Shame the shit that happens beyond people's control. Sad they wouldn't exchange for something else.
I suspect it was something over the whole Just in time Inventory system why they wouldn't let her exchange for something of equal value.

yeah tbh that looks more like a joke image about "lol modern King of the Hill amirite" than a real King of the Hill

I can't blame them. I follow Disney Parks related media and it's insane how stressful a day in a Disney Park has become and not the fun kind of stress. It's very expensive, the waiting time for rides takes hours now (it's gotten so bad that people are pissing and shitting in the rides because going to the toilet would mean they have to leave the line), you basically have to plan every minute of your trip and you are rushing from one place to another and can't enjoy it. It's no wonder why the guests are behaving that way. Neither Disney parks nor Disney movies are fun anymore.

They’re not gonna keep intact Hanks love of Reagan or his views on other issues. The show also ended before various movements and rhetoric could really take off, like LGBTQ shit or social media. Sure you had episodes with Dales gay dad or the crossdresser who met Peggy but in most cases they were treated as outliers or jokes. I expect a pride flag and a trans family in Arlen who Hank is forced to approve of otherwise Peggy calls him a bigot.

Whats also sad about that is I am sure that there are plenty of young children excited about being there who have their experience ruined by rude "adults" taking over every aspect of the park.

Yeah, my brother used to work at Disneyland and he would call the season pass holders passholes, but I think the entitlement has spread to most of the guests. It's sad what's happened. We're going as a family later this year and taking my 5 year old nephew for the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing his reaction, but also kind of worried it will be more frustrating than fun

No child should be subjected to the rude "adults" (and I use the word adult loosely) who act like a more vulgar version of your typical spoiled brat.

Kidults have the emotional maturity of a child and the perversion of an adult. The worst combination a human being can have within their psyche. It's horrific.

Because Disney isn't looking good for the foreseeable future, I'm actually curious what is one of their films that actually made you a fan of them to begin with?
