TLDR:
  1. Asha wants to be the king’s assistant.
  2. King rejects her wish because no diversity hires I guess.
  3. Asha wishes on a star to give everyone a wish.
  4. King finds Star and uses him for evil to rule Rosas.
  5. Everyone is a child of the stars, so everyone has magic and stops king.
  6. King is locked away in staff and everyone gets their wish.
So much for anyone thinking they would do another misunderstood villain.

Dear god that sounds lame. Execution is everything and all that but still so lame. Of course everyone else but the king is nice and with nice wishes. We wouldn't want any real gray in this, now would we?

I don't mean we need a misunderstood villain but more the villain has a point that he justifies his awful behavior like Thanos. Have few ugly wishes like forsed love, stealing or horrible revenge there that do cause havoc that the king uses as an excuse to go full tyrant. Because these wishes proof I must be the keeper of all power because I'm more moral and righteous than anyone else.

TLDW: Lindsay Ellis Stan/ mega-lib yells about how Captain Planet insults the poor and disabled through its villains and deepens a rift in environmental politics for portraying the working class as bad guys. Says politics should not be in children’s media, which LMAO.
I do agree with the video that nobody is extracting oil and dumping it around dancing and howling for the lols and that industry depends on this stuff, but meethinks he puts waaaay too much stock on the reach Captain Planet had. I watched it more than not, but it was the bog standard "nothing better to watch so oh well" and if they villains weren't fun over the top nutcases, I wouldn't have even bothered. I mean, what was he expecting? A 22 minute dry discussion about the impact of extractions close to an animal reservation and how to minimize impact without reducing the capability to comply with the needs of the community? Riveting stuff (and yes, very LOL with no politics on children's media, though no idea on if this guy is a faggot that pushes for propaganda or not, looking at the channel seems like a big part of the updates is one of them dealing with cancer, so didn't really get a clear vibe).
Yeah, I've heard the whole Lexingon was supposed to be gay thing, buuuut, he wasn't (he was also gaga for Angela when she came into the scene) and "dumbledore was totes gay" post production retcons don't count, so there! But yeah, some of the really good stuff had a lot of current globohomo propaganda, they were just a lot better at presenting it.

Good to see that Kero the Wolf would have gotten his wish of infinite puppies to defile, you go you magical latinx you!

Also, funny how the villain is looking less mediterranian and a lot more white compared to the trailer.

Dark Horizons has a nice summary of the Bloomberg article (which is paywalled) which details all of Disney's current woes.

Ex. Disney’s stock price meanwhile has seen a fall from $191 per share back in March 2021 to as low as $78.32 a share last Wednesday.
Sources for the outlet claim the company chief is feeling “overwhelmed and exhausted”

So the plot is basically a standard JRPG such as Paper Mario, Earthbound, and Persona 5, where the heros are almost defeated and they rely on the wishes and prayers of everyone to give them strength to defeat the villain?

It's still astounding to me that they managed to completely foul up Star Wars, which by all accounts should have been a guaranteed money printer, to the point where everything they make doesn't seem to stick the landing. This goes beyond "woke = broke" and into "possibly mental retardation" levels.

Peter Pan done this decades before the JRPG genre existed, when saving Tinkerbell.

Kind of, but not to the same extent. In the context of the play, that was just asking the audience to clap to save Tinkerbell after drinking poison. It wasn't during the final encounter with Hook and Tinkerbell wasn't the one that defeated Hook. My point is really that it's a tired trope that's done to death

trope doesn't have to mean bad, it can still generate a fist pump if the writing is good enough.

but we're talking about a nu-disney movie, so...

I don't believe it. They actually ripped off Super Mario Galaxy with the "star" being just a "Luma"! Send word to Mr. Miyamoto that his IP has been infringed!!!

That thing belongs in the chinese Mario Galaxy ripoff (that apparently was made to advertise a theme park mascot in china). Bravo Disney.

The same far-left woke audiences Disney wants so badly-they are intentionally trying to drive away consumers who are conservatives to centerist learning are now using the Simpsons and Star Wars to make anti-Israel and pro-HAMAS memes.
