Rick was apart of the casting process and says Leah quickly became his number 1 choice for Annabeth. Here is his tweet. Plus he turned comments off on his tweet because he knows what fans will say about the race change of one of the main characters.

I've never read Percy Jackson so I don't really care, but I find it funny the author complained for so long about the movie adaptation not matching his book. There were even people upset when the movie came out that Annabeth wasn't a blonde like the book. But, since diversity and race-swapping are all the rage in Hollywood, I imagine the author and all those who complained will go through the same cycle of dealing with the "toxic" fans eventually saying "Annabeth wasn't supposed to be white". Hilarious!

Isn't this whole Percy Jackson stuff supposed to be about Greek Mythology? Funny how "cultural appropriation" doesn't apply when it is the woke crowd doing it. At this point it is obvious that they are doing this on purpose to spite the evhul huaits and piss on all their folklore, mythology and traditions.

I cannot state enough about how I loathe Hollywood’s propensity to unnecessarily force diversity quotas in already substantiated source material. They ruin every goddamn thing they touch. Just make a new fucking character instead of telling us “it doesn’t matter” or “they’re not real”. God I hate these people

...they're right, she did nothing wrong, doesn't change that if they wanted to be accurate to the books, they had to take a blonde-haired girl.

This is rich.

Riordan spent years sperging out and denying (Along with denouncing) the existence of the PJO movies for years, including him going so far as to message teachers who were using them as a means of explaining Greek Mythology to appeal towards their students but Rick told them to never show them.

Keep in mind that outside of Grover being black, they were loosely accurate to appearance and still were hated by fans as already mentioned....Guess it's okay because he can fuck up his own work?

This is like how J.K. Rowling said Hermione was black all along after the Cursed Child casted a black woman in her role.
 
I mean who's to say that Rick isn't trying to make a chocolate cake out of shit since this casting was 100% diversity quota bs that Disney is ushering in thanks to the leaks.

I've said it before, but what makes it even more obvious is that you NEVER see the reverse happen. You'd never get, say, a Princess and the Frog remake where Tiana and Naveen are turned white. The college educated/ghetto niggers' rage would be astronomical. Why don't white people have the same respect for their race/culture? They seriously can't be that reluctant to show even a little bit of unbowlderized respect for their culture, for fear of.....getting called mean words on social media. I can't even imagine being a white kid in today's media landscape. Whatever heroes you looked up to WILL get the melanin injection, and you WILL like it bigot!
 
Hollywood hates white people it's as simple as that. The white people in entertainment who support it are just dumb or want to still be in the business so just goes with it.
I'm not surpporting death threats towards the actress since that's dumb. But I wouldn't be shocked of they fake some death threats for woke points and so they can shit on fans. Also I didn't mind the movies. I didn't relaize the author was a woke sperg.
 
Even in Riordan's statement on the Annabeth (which he blocked responses to), he doesn't mention that he contradicts what he says in the books.

Riordan became a super woke sperg around the time of his fourth book series called Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard which was a series based on Norse Mythology while set in the same universe as PJO.

The second book is where he went super woke, having a non-binary transgender Mexican kid who yells at others about how it wasn't his job to educate people on being mentally ill but yet got offended leading to responses with violence when misgendered.

Don't get me started on Rick turning Tyr black, or the fact that his series ends with the Norse Gods validating the Muslim main character by agreeing with her views of not being deities.

The concept of a religious character meeting another culture's deities is interesting, but Riordan really pandered to his Tumblr fanbase. Even back in the day it was obvious. The humour also became a lot more annoying and XD quirky as time went on for exactly the same reason.

Also I'm expecting Nico to be fujoshi bait.
 
That sucks the Percy Jackson series was kinda cool, oh well no nice things for us I guess. Race swapping characters for clout is just such a disingenuous move and kinda racist because you are essentially forcing someone of a different race to be a different race. She could have been Hazel but no gotta be kinda leftist racist. Oh Nico wanted the Percy dick bad.

I and the spouse saw the new Doctor Strange and it was boring as fuck.

All the action is forgettable
Bad CG in some parts

Vision gets mentioned once and it essentially undoes Wandavision
Rachel McAdams is wasted

The pacing is so fucking horrible, I checked out frankly, and my partner would pause and riff it.
There were bits in there which were jumpscares and it made no fucking sense.
The Illuminati bit is literally the only bit from the trailer.
Black Captain Marvel gets killed by a statue and I laughed because of the irony.
I thought I was watching Shang Chi

Like a 2/10 absolutely forgettable and I cannot wait to see how fucking bad Thor 4 is.
