I can't imagine they liked Jungle 2 Jungle any better, unless they were really big Tim Allen fans. And thought that scene after scene of Tim Allen being annoyed at his loincloth-wearing teenage son was funny. That seems like a pretty big stretch though, considering the only kinda-sorta amusing bit I can recall from that movie was the scene where Tim Allen and Martin Short can't remember the secret knock to see the Russian mob boss, and after fucking up it up many times he just tells them to come in because he's so annoyed at their knocking.
They didn't like it any better.

GOD.

DAMMIT

I hope that is real as it least sounds like it could be funny and somewhat interesting compared to the normal Disney rehash.

Ryan George did a Pitch Meeting video for Home Sweet Home Alone.

I don't get why would anyone would willingly watch a video with a thumbnail like that

No it doesn't. It sounds like the most desperate, un-self aware and idiotic thing ever.
I doubt the movie will be good and the idea would be better suited as its own thing rather than based on any ip but I can't think of another movie with a plot like it and rather take a bad movie like that than a 1 to 1 rehash Disney love to do.

Un-self aware can't say that going off that post but going off the number of times Disney has done the feminist princess who is not like your other Disney princesses thing it wouldn't be shocking.

Apparently the main character is Chinese-Canadian, but thanks to the CalArts bean-people style, she doesn't look like anything but uggo. But I shouldn't be surprised, Bao was honestly not a very pleasant short to look at despite the subject matter.

I'm not gonna be surprised if the director was on Tumblr in her 20s. She's well within the age to have been inspired by Tumblr art.

It'll be interesting to watch Disney satirize itself.
They already did that:

And spoiler alert: it was trash.

>first few seconds of the trailer is a cringe beat-boxing joke
>cringe pop music references
>ugly Cal-Farts beanmouth style (again)
>DIE-VUR-SE-TEE!

Seriously, Pixar, WTF happened to you?! You used to be SO goddamn good! The Toy Story trilogy (what fourth movie? There is no fourth movie, shut up), Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up - the years 1995-2010 were a veritable golden age (save for Cars), and I am truly saddened to see such a great studio fall to such degrading depths. I mean, it used to be that people would look more forward to the next Pixar movie than whatever Disney was putting out at the time - now it's just another cog in the Rat's dirty machine.

According to a casting call that spread a bit on Twitter earlier this year, one of Mei's friends is gonna be trans.
It's the doofy-haired, green-outfitted one.
