Honestly, I don't think anyone was too bothered. After all, TV and direct to video adaptations of movies, live action and animated, used to replace the casts with cheaper actors all the time. Hell, I think it was kind of a miracle that the Aladdin and Hercules TV series managed to keep so many of their respective movie casts. Hell, James Woods loves playing Hades so much that he's practically willing to do the role for pennies. Among the only people who wouldn't budge were Robin Williams and Danny DeVito (though the former had a hell of a falling out with Disney, so he wouldn't have done the series if they paid him out the ass), which actually made those recasts stand out that much more.

Toy Story itself wasn't immune to this; the video games replaced many of the celebrities with impersonators, namely Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. In the case of Woody, he's lucky in that Hanks has a brother, Jim Hanks, who can do the voice close enough to his more famous brother.

Unrelated to the current trend of the topic, but how come Disney seems to have so many little girl lesbian ships now? Owl House, Amphibia, Molly Mcgee. It's nt even like the shows are bad themself, bt I can't be the only one that notices that.

Is Molly McGee confirmed? Haven't been keeping up with it. Same for Amphibia really.
 
I know for sure that the creator of Molly McGee said that the gay ship in the show wasn’t going to be the two main girls. He was upfront about it when the show premiered last month and twitter threw and entitled tantrum.

I get why people are mad even wokies Disney is going to act like this is a big deal and they never done this before. Even through they have done a black Cinderella movie and everyone likes it. Why ruin a good movie that everyone agrees was good (which even in these divided times, is amazing) for this cheap ass movie?

Amphibia I can see how someone come up with that conclusion. I'm still hoping they don't do that shit in the show itself

Well black people can't be royalty obviously so the old movie is out and also they're really into sneakers. Black people can't get enough of them hi-tops.
