Looks like the crack is already up for the new character, might give it a whack and decide if i want to buy it again for steam autism.

Just like old times when i lost my cd key and had to buy the battle chest all over again, blizzards been taking my money for the same game for years.

I truly am, a retard.
Bro I did that too. Lost my cd key, bought the battle chest. Register it on bnet when I could, and then bought Resurrected on bnet app.

"Experience everything through the old lens". You want to experience original version of something that... didn't exist back in 2001?
My point is that they could still go through the effort to pre-render sprites for the guy, since the OG characters were 3D models before they rendered them down to sprites. Or if they want to be lazy about it, just draw the 3D model at a very low resolution and frame-rate. I know they went through the effort of doing something similar with Diablo 3, where your character becomes lower-res, has stiffer, jerkier animation and less rotations for the sake of mimicking an older title in the series.

I still have my CDs from two decades ago and more. Thinking of booting up the game again. Should i give Project Diablo a try? I am by no means a pro Diablo player. Dont know any good builds or bis items. The furthers i have gotten is nightmare act 4.

the Weapon boomerang move is beyond broken, it uses your weapon stats (plus bonuses) and you can huck like a spread of 6 that come back to you, enemies can be hit by all of them, twice.

you just shotgun throw everything to death, the Barb could only dream of this level of power.

so it's just a better blessed hammer? fucking hell... it's like they picked all of the good shit from other classes and slapped on warlock with a few reductions here and there, besides shape shifting because fuck druids o algo, yes i'm ignoring the runewords that let you shapeshift without being a druid just to shit on the poor guy. liam neeson looking ass bitch.

uh well its effected by attack speed and hits with your weapon, so its more like using a throwing weapon but with literally any weapon in the game, and doesn't deal with weapon durability.

also his melee all have further range than anyone else, because he floats the weapon, and he can use two handers AND shields/books (books are just for him)

however, I believe Blessed Hammer is likely stronger, because Paladin is stronger, aso busted as Warlock is, he isn't Paladin busted.. but he is now 2nd best.

Yes.

There is a massive community of people showing off builds with every Season of the game you can easily find on Youtube, but you should be able to make a build just going off the Skill Tree Synergies that can get you through Vanilla content(into Hell). So many skills have been buffed to be viable you can hardly go wrong in the game, it's not until Maps, that you can't do until Level 80, that your build really needs to get Meta. Even then there are a few dozen builds that can do them, the Meta is about doing them in less than 5 or 10 minutes.

Hell, the season before the current one they made Bone Wall and Prison able cake walk stuff like Hellcows. It's a meme build but it works.

Naturally, the forgotten city passage is RIGHT UNDER THERE as well.

And this is why he's not scared of the faggot lair. /p8 bugs, two firewall casts.

This ring of fire thingy is busted. Makes every class look like joke in the early game.

Frost (🤡) nova
Cost: 9 fucking mana
Damage: 2-4(lol)
Slows enemies down

Ring of Fire
Cost: 8
Damage: 6-12
Pushes enemies back

Your choice as a fire sorc at level 6 is meme inferno and then at level fucking 12 you get fireball which costs less mana but has only 6-14 damage and less radius :story: Lightning spells do better but still are a joke in comparison.
Mana cost would be a problem if its was pre 1.10 where you couldn't buy potions in bulk but it's two decades later and we can have belt and inventory full of them stepping into stony field.

EDIT:

I swear they designed that spell for that area.

I got blizz'ed again i bought it again on steam like the retard i am.

Hit me with your build reccos? I'm thinking summoner it looks fun but that fire damage looks fucking ridiculous.

Looks like they did a whoopsie and forgot to remove the ability of barb skill mods to roll on daggers, which most notably could have +2 to warcries if you couldn't afford two spirits or echoing (+3) javelins. Pic has +1 to barb combat skills and +3 to rancor sigil for the warlock.

(ignore the kurwa, our localization is great)

PSA: Leaf works with ring of fire, flame wave and apocalypse, as it should. No need to hunt for daggers with +3 mods, just get a 2 socket staff.

Caster Warlock might actually be the only legit viable user of the Obsession runeword, which can only be made in 6 socket staves. It's simply better than HOTO for him. Finding a base isn't too restricting either because any smods that can roll on a staff do nothing for him.

Wow, turns out there are cosmetic milestone rewards now. Aura, golden footsteps and a custom portal. The requirements are, in order, identifying every unique item, identifying every set item, and creating every runeword. This means trading will not give you progress, unless you trade unids and incomplete runewords, which may also not work, since the log entry also mentions what loot source the item came from. This must also mean that all runewords are now also available in SP. The amount of time this is going to fucking take...

There, if you drop an item you're missing from the grail, it will have a green text underneath it while unidentified.
Here's the effect I mentioned earlier.

Okay, currently halfway throught NM, still on p8. I thought I'd maybe have to tone it down for bosses, but no. After converting my other offline chars to ROTW and giving him the needed leg up with vipermagi, spirit, lore, magefist, rhyme and insight on merc (soon spirit shield, shako, CoH on merc) I'm just completely tearing through everything that isn't immune to fire.
Ring of fire is a CC tool, although it can be used as your main source of damage until you get the flame wave.
Flame wave is just broken in open areas. Suffers in corridors and makes you feel woeful if there's stairs or any obstacles (jail bars, barrels, anything), you will absolutely hate normal Arcane Sanctuary.
Apocalypse at higher levels covers almost the entire screen. Unfortunately it appears that its innate bonus of reducing enemy fire res for the cast can't break immunities. Otherwise, it's a big nuke and wipes groups with ease despite supposedly meager (2-3k fire damage at level ~15) damage. You will want that flickering flame and fire sunder charm on Hell, definitely.
I initially respecced into miasma/oblivion at the start of act 4, but these spells are so lackluster on their own I just invested into fire again. Feels like they're a panic button for when you find fire immune enemies. Oblivion has a pull, but ring of flames just does that job better.
Summons are alright, but need those +all skill modifiers on your gear, otherwise they will have paper durability. You will want to reach 20 with summon mastery, since every 10 points nets you an additional active summon, and you can have a combination of any of the three (possibly four and five at 30 and 40 investment?). They do very little damage, unsurprisingly, but their role is purely support. The goatman tanks and has some crushing blow, the tainted gives your party fire resistance, and the defiler automatically curses enemies with a share damage debuff. All your summons are very aggressive, relentless, teleport to you very quickly (unlike the fucking mercs) and you can just resummon them for free. Worth noting that resummoning replaces your minions according to the order they were spawned in, so the oldest one will get replaced first, no matter what type it was - goat-tainted-defiler will turn into tainted-defiler-%newsummon.
The spells you can use to buff/debuff/sacrifice your summons I haven't tested, because that's WAY too busy and conditional ADHD of a playstyle for me.
Sigils are one point wonders, mostly. The one that cripples enemy speed, defense and damage is probably the one you will be using the most.

And on an unrelated note, I think they buffed drops. Found around 30 unique/set items throughout normal at close to 0% MF.
this will literally take you like 400 hours legit.
More. This either resets if you change difficulty or every difficulty has its own tracker. Once I got to nightmare on Warlock, it was all back to 0%. If it's the former, then good luck trying to cheese with farming NM andy/meph/diablo and have fun throwing your PC out the window if you accidentally enter/create a game on normal/NM. If it's the latter, then 100% is impossible on normal and NM due to level zone caps.

There are Uniques so rare I've never seen them drop, ever, in my entire time playing D2, since it launched.

That's because most people "serious" about farming simply would use sorc/hammerdin bots. First legit chronicle completion will go to an 8 man party of gooks playing 24/7.
edit: tried testing it by making 2x Steel in short swords, and the progress was now kept across all chars and difficulties. Now I'm 100% certain that converting a character to ROTW is what erases all progress. It also erases the shared stash.

If you just farm Terror Zone Andarial and a few other areas you can collect every item in under one month. It's not like LOD where collecting every item would take years of dedicated play. The drop rates in Terror Zones are imbalanced to reward the player. Something like Griffon's Eye might have taken two or three years of regular single player gaming to get just one to finally drop. If you farm the best Terror Zones you can get one or two to drop every month. Blizzard made drops almost infinitely more forgiving for the players in Resurrected.
