I don't know how social blade works, but I'm sure he hadn't been doing himself any favors by removing so many of his older videos.

Anyone know how monetization works on YouTube? That 700k view Pirate Software vid he did that he lucked out on must have gotten him more money than he's probably made in the previous year combined, and what he bought his new computer setup with. Not a wise investment, if all those sub 20k view vids he's put out since is any indication. At least he's trying to get them out more frequently.

Honestly I'm really hoping for some kind of insane melt down and arrest. I saw some low effort vid from (I think) doughnut operator. I doubt he's making anything really on his vids. I think people vastly misunderstand the system at play here. Youtube has never made a profit. And it's become very apparent ads aren't working on the younger generation. Thing is, youtube desperatly wants to not pay its creators and is probably talking right now about how to yeet older vids to free up costly server space. Thats why virtually nothing on youtube makes creators money anymore despite every video having like 5 ads.

KNock it out of the park with a 100K view vid and I think you get like, 50 bucks. pennies per view. But, keep in mind thats assuming the vids dont immediatly get struck down for limited ads due to the content in them. Just due to the nature of his vids, Dev probably makes borderline nothing since alot of them involve current controversies that would get you struck immediatly. Honestly his main source of income is either super chats or whatever patreon rakes in. It's probably one of the reasons he's putting out more content and back to live vids. Hoping the regular content will drive eyes to his channel, then once there, they'll go to a live stream and super chat. It's fairly high effort for low reward but, more vids means more interatcion, and more interaction is more super chats.

Well, Spicholas Faguentes at least manages to be funny - and he created a hell for himself. So I can laugh at his misery. Yet Devon? He is just your run of the mill westerner that is the quintessential "I support the CURRENT THING ™️ " I have said before and sadly he does tick me off, only during my visits to his thread - since I find out he hasn't had his heart attack.
