I kinda disagreeing with this, just because Public health care does not work does not mean its flawed in the core, if border control would be understaffed and unequipped and constantly challenged by the pressure of illegals its not proof to be an useless thing, and everyone just hire private security instead...
In my ideal dictatorship where i am the god king, public healthcare would be reinforced with armed soldiers who imminently kicks any fucking freeloaders from the system on sight... and under freeloaders i meant true freeloaders... if you worked for 2-5-10 years and paid your due diligence but now you are unemployed for 2 years... yeah bud you have a leeway. if you only worked for 1 year and you are unemployed for 2 you are not eligible for public healthcare unless you paying the tax from your own pocket...
but if you a fucking parasite who not even done 8 elementary school class at age of 20 and living of of petty crimes you don't have to worry about public healthcare because my system does not tolerate petty crimes either...
The problem is that it's very flawed at it's core though and an absrudly easy way to tank your healthcare industry and give the gov the ability to punish innocent people.
It all comes down to very basic supply, demand, and incentives. Simply put, everyone is gong to be either a net negative, or a net positive over their life when it comes to healthcare and it's not terribly hard to tell. Have a national healthcare policy that is only willing to deal with the healthy net positive producers? Thats only going to leave the net negative individuals to enrol in regular insurance. Being net negative yahoos, private insurance thus goes out of buisness and your hospitals are now more or less servants of the state.
Have national healthcare that treats everyone, even the net negatives? Ok, why would I as a regular joe get non goverment healthcare and thus be basically paying twice for healthcare? esspecially if I'm a net contributer meaning I'm not really going to need to use it that often? The private insurance companies again go out o buisness, and hospitals are again servants of the state.
Mandate everyone has to have health insurance? Ok, insurance is going to massively inflate it's cost since you dont have any options, in fact basically every aspect of the healthcare industry from supply line to staff inflate its cost since they know it's all going to be covered by insurance, and the insurance company more or less becomes an agent of the state. Because they know if they dont play politics now they risk either someone getting in that will reverse the mandate and cost them a bunch of cash, OR, someone in the gov gets mad at them and their taken off the list of groups that count as an innsurance company for the sake of teh mandate and thus lose all that cash.
No matter how you slice this, the gov making mandates in the health care industry is just a bad fucking idea.
Dev groans at her possibly wanting to censor manga and anime
I love anime and manga. And yeah, there are some things there that people find objectionable that I dont really mind or care about. In fact, if it's an OVA, I can barely give a shit whats in it.
But considering one of the most talked about shows coming out in America that was aired on broadcast TV in Japan starts by showing a full blown orgy in a highschool classroom followed by two students that don't want to have sex being tied down to fuck machines meant to look like execution devices and fucked agains their will in a scene thats meant to be funny but is 100% rape? (And FYI, it's not really that funny. It's really uncomftorable to watch.)
I can see where she has a fucking point Dev. It's going out over public broadcast airwaves. This isn't going to a store to buy a naughty DVD with a 5000 year old loli on it. This isn't going to a boot leg barely talked about web site so you can watch an anime girl of vaugly adult age do various degenerate acts.
We're talking a 15 year old being placed in a sexecution machine and seeing every bit of it except the actual penetration. I can see where people might have an issue with that being on channel five during prime time. Just saying.
