I knew that Scrump had a vitriol hatred towards America and Americans for some time based on comments he has made in the past, but he has really gone off the deep end with it. It might be a form of cope where he blames all the problems that the leaders in his country are causing on America, rather than accepting that the issues are the result of his own countrymen betraying their people.

I agree he really hates America. But I'm not so sure it's blaming America for everything and not that he's incredibly jealous what America has going. Compare the two, and a ton of the problems England has have been negated in America due to things like the constitution.

I think another facet is that he is clearly frustrated. Looking back on his backlog of videos 7 to 8 years ago, there was a reoccurring warning in his criticisms of the left/socialists/progressives. That if "they" didn't stop, the Right would retaliate and that would be bad.

A reoccurring theme among all the videos made by centrists that turned hard left or anti-right after Trump was that they felt that the political landscape of the 90s, 2000s, and early 2010s as ideal. (Where the Left held all meaningful political power, and the Right only served as an opposition party.) However, they were cognizant enough to understand that if the Socialists and Progressives kept trying to take the breadcrumbs the Liberals gave the Right, the Right would mobalize in response and if they did, the Right wouldn't be satisfied with Breadcrumbs anymore.

And sure enough, that exact thing happened with Trump's election and J6. Regardless of the latter's being influenced by the FBI. So that's another reason there is bitterness.

Trump isnt banning words. You can still say these anywhere you want. Nor is what he's doing illegal. He's the executive. The energy department is part of the executive branch so he's their boss. Its supposed to help regulate power in America. It's basically the boss turning to his underlings and saying 'stop talking about that thing, its not your job and is causing problems.' Trump has littearly no power to ban anyone from saying what they want. The most basic of civics lessons teach you this. Does Dev understand this? Yes. We know this because in past videos he did absurd deep dives into politics enough that he would have to understand on some level, the basics of the american gov. So basically everyone in this situation knows it's a lie. So why lie? Because he's hoping to demoralize those around him. He has stated the most outlandish, and in a way so that you cant voice the truth, and is thus hoping the show of support for the lie makes you feel like not engaging.

And of course, we then have this doozy.

Again, everyone with two working brain cells understands the issues with this. It is a random person with no influance, from a random website (appears youtube), with no engagement, and no kind of information to convey other than an oppinion. To call this cherry picking is an understatement. And from Dev's past behaviour he knows this. And we know he knows this. How many times has he had a fuking seizure over making sure everyone knows the diffrence between leftoid, liberal, centrist, and that some blue haired weirdo that wants to show their dick to kids at pride festivals don't represent liberals or centrists? So he should know that a random yahoo spouting of about wanting to destroy the nation neither represents the right nor Trump/Maga. And he has no kind of special insight to make his oppinion any more valid than the oceans of people that think Trump is fixing things.

So why post it? Unlike the last one where the lie is the point, in this case there's not alot to point at and outright say "Thats a lie." The reason is because this is a perfect case of him paroting things from the past that demoralized the left and hoping they demoralize the right. As much as I'm on board with Trump, lets be very honest here, how many youtube channels have been built of finding the strangest person in the left wing crowd and making fun of them as opposed to tackling the left's strongest ideas? So, here he does the same. Pick the outlandish person from the right and hold him up as an idiot to make right wingers feel bad. But there's a major problem.

Holding up the utterly bizarre left wing weirdo worked fairly well because in so many cases, the weirdo was being a weirdo in real life, the final conclusion of the left wing ideology, or held some form of prestigeous postion. Or in some cases all 3. We can hold up that tranny weirdo that Biden had doing nuclear power and kept stealing luggage, and use him to demoralize the left because he's doing his weird shit irl so we know he isnt fake, we understand he was a product of the left's ideas being taken to their logical conclusion, and he was littearly in charge of regulating nuclear power in america.

But he doesn't fully understand that distinction and so he tries to do what the right used to do in order to try and demoralize his enemies. And beause he doesnt fully understand it he just grabs the first thing that looks sorta like what he needs and uses that.

Or alternatively, he might fully understand. But much like a mechanic using a screw driver handle to try to force in a nail because he lacks a hammer, he might not have what he needs and is just hoping that if he spams it enough it will have the same effect. Like I've said, he's a fucking leftoid. I think there is virtually no one that will argue that. Now take a look at the left and tell me what the fuck they have left in their tool box to attack their enemies? Every adjective they have thats more than 4 letters long is ignored out of pavolvian response at this point. As an ideology, they now lack even a frame work for casting out legitimatly insane people. So what does Dev actually have that he can use? So he builds his straw man........ok that feels like too much credit to him and the left. Straw men require effort and stuff..........Draws his stick figure on the wall and proceeds to shadow box it because that's how limited his options are.

Another reason this tactic isn't effective on the Right is because the Right-Wing leans more in Individualism compared to the Left.

The left are collectivists to a fault. When you point to a prominent individual making an ass of themselves, it looks bad on the collective as a whole, which gets the Left to shit itself and panic. Which was why it was an effective tactic. But the Right can hardly collectivise even when it is in their own benefit. (There's a reason "Right-Wing boycotts" were a thing to scoff at until recently.) As a result, the actions of the extremes mean little and bounce right off. A more effective attack against the Right is directly attacking their political beliefs. Because without a collective mob to enforce group think, challenging individual beliefs is very effective.

But that would require Good Faith debating and Empathy. And Dev can't do that.

Dev's currently on Sitch and Adam's show (AJW was on earlier). I've only been able to catch parts of the stream due to work but I half-expect the video is going to be a lot of Dev whitewashing his controversies with S&A and practicing his TDS with Sitch.
