He says it's to move them over to the "right" channel for archival purposes, so he streams a lot of his content to his main channel then migrates it over to his other channels. Rather than do the sensible thing of streaming from the right channel to begin with and allow the videos to gain traction instead of using YouTube like a glorified file system.

It seems a bit gauche for Dev to be behaving like this. Surely he can see that there is a fair bit of difference between fighting and killing invaders to defend your country/under orders and revelling in both broadcasting and watching a man beg for mercy before killing him.
This guy is a deranged freak, I don't recall the navy engaging in this kind of near-snuff level behavior when they smoked that smuggling boat.

Playing Devils advocate here, it appears that his main argument is one of principles. Namely, how can you support X in the name of humanitarian concerns and not Y? And the foundation isn't entirely wrong. For someone not on the ground, it is a tad hypocritical to support one conflict your not apart of and not another on grounds that realistically can be used for both. If your only concern is for the humanity of the soldier, why does this different soldier deserve to be treated different?
The issue, and what Dev forgets, is that he is assuming the motivations of whomever he's criticizing. Both for the support of one conflict, and the rejection of another. The reason the Right has been positive for the conflict with the Cartels has been due to the damage caused by the drug trade. It's our business as Us citizens; it was made our business when our cities started to suffer because of it. While I, personally, have not been affected by the trade itself; there are countless examples that show that the people on the ground DO have skin in the game.
Ukraine, however, is a different story. For one, that is a political theater that affects the EU. But the reason for US involvement is due to the various... dealings... that were happening at the upper level. Biden's son Hunter is a famous example, but there are likely many more that I will likely never learn or learn and live long enough to tell. Thus, while it is a tragedy for the average Ukrainian, there isn't a personal responsibility to act or give support. Which makes the millions of tax dollars we DID send sting all the more as it is pretty clear we're likely not gonna see a return on it.
This barely even scratches the surface of these topics and I am fully convinced I fucked up my info somewhere. Even so, there is no way that you can automatically assume that supporting one means that you should support the other on principle. There is a whole mess of interests and individual loyalties that make this equivalence a wrong one.
Dev is assuming the motivation and isn't being called out because he's using the mob as a defense. Treating the motivations of several different people as a shared motivation for the collective.
Always in awe of this faggots persecution complex. Somebody calling you a retard =/= demanding you to change your views.

It sort of is. The really big problem with these drones is the actual power imbalance combined with practicality. The drone has the ability to kill with impunity. Meanwhile someone with a rifle doesnt really have a good chance at taking out the drone at all or stopping the hand grenade from blowing up in their face. So we can recognize it's borderline murder. And the soldier recognizes fighting is fairly pointless. But, on the other side, capturing a soldier with a drone is functionally impossible. Virtually everyone surrenders, but the drone has limited time in the air, and trying to communicate instructions to the captured person and escort them back to a holding area without the drone being shot out of the air by his comrades is nill, assuming the drone even has enough power to guide the soldier.
Now in the past, Surrender was typically done either by a very large mass of troops or when it was someone on the front line you were shooting at. In both instances, you and the front line are basically right there next to the guy when he surrenders making it fairly easy to secure the prisoner. BUT, surrender wasnt also a near guaranteed outcome in battle. Most fire fights go way to fast for someone to realize they're fucked and surrender. So what we are really seeing is something that didnt happen that often now happening at MASSIVE rates to a weapon system that is deep behind enemy lines as opposed to the front. So now that rare, messy, but easy to handle situation is now common, much messier, and way harder to handle. And the military's higher ups are very reluctant to call it a war crime since it is one of the most effective tactics they have.
All that being said, I do think in the end this kind of stuff should be ruled a war crime. From what I'm hearing, ground troops basically torture drone operators to death which I can fully understand. The good news though is that I dont think this is going to be an ethics question much longer because:
1. I can only imagine the PTSD the operators are going to get from doing this shit. I want to puke when I watch these videos, imagine being responsible for causing them. Is going to get harder and harder to find people willing to do this kind of soul destroying shit.
2. Ground troops have found counters measures that are making drones not really worth it in terms of use in combat. Reconnaissance, drones are still kino. But the counter has basically been to carry signal jammers and have ultra cheap shotgun rounds for service rifles. And the counters are so much cheaper, that it doesn't make fiscal sense to keep doing this. Even more so once the bad PR is considered.

They hold no regret over their actions, they just want to control you.
How anyone can trust them to sincerely change and become a better political party is beyond me. Sorry to say, I think you're brainwashed.

I don't think most are willing to try it. They were down with Iraq because just looking at everything from the outset, it was going to be an American effort with Nato back seating so they could more or less use it as a test bed for troops and equipment.

The problem is they've drained their stok piles of weapons and their factories are in no condition to replace them any time soon. Meaning if they sent troops to the front, they'd basically be sending people more or less with the vast majority of what they have right now.
So you'd have a population that hates you, filled with brown imports that dont give a shit about you and you know would stab you for five dollars. And you're going to give what little remaning guns and ammo you have to the people that hate you and think you want to genocide them. And hope they will go along with a trench war to defend people they've never met from a nation that has not attacked them. They'd have to be a level of stupid rarely seen in history to go into Ukraine.
