Of course none of this matters who cares about the story in DMC especially after how bad 5's writing was.

Very late, but I thought I was the only one bothered by that. Hilariously mainline Dante and Vergil are closer to actual Nephilim than Reboot, Dante and Vergil. Being the children of a demon male and human female and since demons are usually fallen angels, well I'm sure you guys can use your thinking thoughts for this one.

Darksiders and Diablo also say Nephilim are offspring of a Demon and a Angel. The only media that I remember that got Nephilium right was Supernatural.
 
So i have heard Dantes voice actor ( Reuben Langdon) is retiring from voice acting. This and Itsuno leaving is marking the end of Devil May Cry as we know it.

I am not excited.
Especially since we found out Johnny is going to be voicing Dante in the anime but is literally just doing his fucking Nero voice. Let's hope Nero doesn't appear or that might get confusing real fucking quick.
 
Langdon may not have any option aside from "retiring".

He has the "wrong" politics and didn't step in line with the COVID-19 lockdown measures with the rest of the "good people", and was tarred super hard by social media and his peers for it.

Welp, unfortunately I can't say I didn't see it coming.
I really hope this doesn't mean Johnny Yong Bosch is going to be Dante's new VA from now on.

Oddly enough this marks TWO voice actors of characters I liked getting fired for bullshit reasons and replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch. Maybe I'm tin foil hatting here but I can't help but feel there might be some kind of conspiracy there.

If it happens a third time then we'll know for sure.


At least he didn't get the Vic treatment.
