On the one hand, I can understand the disappointment of the guard fly enthusiasts. I feel that same feel when I see people say shit like Mario World is the best 2d Mario, or Super Castlevania/Symphony of the Night is the best 2d Castlevania. I could sperg for hours on why both those opinions, are in my opinion, objectively wrong; I've played the better, deeper, less casualized games in those series to death and I know all the little tricks and blah blah blah.Just look at this autism:
In the hardcore DMC fanbase, it’s like 🛡 ✈ (meaning preferring DMC1, 3, and 4 over DMC5) is the equivalent of this
It doesn’t have to be a fucking cultural movement you speds, if you think DMC5 is mechanically inferior to DMC4, stop playing it and if you do like it, keep playing it
I can understand the the argument of longing for missing mechanics vs. being happy with game as is, but the fanbase itself is still seemingly comprised of autistic manbabies, just look at this guy https://itsmorecornflakes.blogspot.com/?m=1On the one hand, I can understand the disappointment of the guard fly enthusiasts. Then on the other hand, despite being pretty fucking deep into Devil May Cry, I never got guard fly deep. I S ranked 90% of the stages in all the games after hundreds of hours of play, completed Bloody Palace runs and stuff, and I never got THAT deep. And when I looked up that stuff and I tried it myself, I said "Fuck this, too hard to do consistently, it's just messing up my gameplay, not worth it." So this to me is like not even the top percentile of players complaining the game is too casual now, it's like the .01%.
DmC was also the first Devil May Cry I ever played. It's a strange introduction to the series because the mechanics are simplified from the original series and the plot and characters are as far removed from the source material as you can get. At the time, I didn't think it was that bad and I got a laugh out of the infamous white wig scene.Bigger Necro and unpopular opinion time
I played DMC first before any other game in the series and I didn't think it was that bad. Sure emo Dante was way too much of an Americanized edgelord version of the character and a parody of him at best and from what I've heard it was made way easier for mom fans to get used to the game but the lackluster story and trying to hard emo characters aside I didn't mind it that much.
Mind you I have played the other games including 5 recently and yeah they are better hell even with Dante getting older in 5 he was definitely more likable than emo Dante in DMC
Base game is getting Vergil as DLC, no word on dark night or turbo mode though unfortunatelyhttps://youtube.com/watch?v=4mT1N4yIYUo
We're finally getting a Vergil mode but no confirmation on Xbone or PC yet.
Eh, give it a few months I bet.View attachment 1601792
PC getting jipped for some reason.
no excuse to keep it away from the pc version. hope someone hacks it in.View attachment 1601792

Because normies need to learn wtf ray-tracing is and whats a better game to do it then the one they played just last yearit's not a huge deal. PC already has turbo mode modded in, and modders just recently discovered what values control the number of enemies that spawn, so true LDK isn't far off either.
still weird they'd do this tho.
I could see them expanding on yamato alone to be interesting enough, it would be abit like what DmC tried to do with stances but it seems they might be using stuff like becoming DT V or doppelganger to try and change him up from 3SE and 4SE. all that shit plus concentration might be enough though I might just be abit optmistic.as for Vergil, after reading up a bit more it seems he only uses yamato this time and no other weapons (no force edge, no bearwolf) and gets nothing new either which is just lazy.
than we have him summoning V that seems rather weird? i see no reason for Vergil to ever do something like that as a character now that his cured of his canceraids and has a powerful SDT he can use.
