Random dump. Tried to stay away from fetish stuff. Also lots of furry refs; they're always hilarious to me.
These aren't the WORST THING EVAR on Deviantart so much as it's middling bad. But I found it entertaining.
Not everything needs to be eye-searing to be lulz worthy.

Here's some shite adoptables. Lotsa furries because furries have the worst color schemes and ideas. Tried to stay away from things that were just terribly drawn because where's the fun in that?
Just keep in mind how the creator wants to be compensated in some way for each character. Monetarily or with 'free' art.
For $3, you can buy Dave Strider without his sunglasses.

This is a cat, apparently, by the same person as above. It was an auction, starting bid $2, but it had an auto-buy of $30. Wouldn't you buy this character for $30?

For those not in the know, there is a surprisingly large market on DeviantArt where people create animals, characters, OCs, ginjikas (humanizations of existing things like Pokemon), clothes, and other things and sell them, for either money or DA points. There can be some surprisingly cool looking designs out there, and it's great for inspiration if you want to browse. I'm also not adverse to buying a character design if it really speaks to you; some people are great artists, but terrible designers. Some people are great designers, but never have any use for them as characters, and have no intention of ever drawing it again. I think this is a perfectly economical and effective way to make everyone happy, as hokey as it can be. It's also a great way for artists to make a name for themselves and makes some money for their work without having to do commissions all the time; it's great for people who are using art to supplement an income. I have nothing against the adopt community, is what I'm saying.
But like anything else, there's shit. Things that are lazy, things done by people who can't draw, people who overdesign characters, people who design characters in stupid ways... it's all there. Bases* are rampant. People overcharge for simple characters that took 5 minutes to draw. People get scammed. People pay money for stupid characters. People get salty about getting outbid. Recolors are everywhere. Creators give crazy demands on the buyer of things they 'have' to do after it's bought, as well as limiting what the buyer can do with the character. The entitlement is unreal. It's a riot.
*Mini-sperg about bases: I actually don't mind bases when people are just drawing clothes or hair or something on top of it to demonstrate how things look. A lot of clothes creators will use a couple bases of their own creation to demonstrate their clothes, which I think is a perfectly acceptable use of 'em. When people use other peoples' bases to make actual characters to sell is where I draw the line on acceptability. Don't profit from someone else's work.
There are 3 generally popular ways to pay for Adoptables; PayPal, DA Points (generally used in smaller transactions), and Draw to Own, which is exactly what it sounds like. A person can accept all of them or limit a transaction to one type. They can also incite bidding wars or hold raffles in the comments. Some people will allow temporary 'hold' on characters if, say, a person needs to get more points first, but some people are full first-pay-first-serve. It just depends.
That's more than everything you need to know about the adoption community.

Hmm... A bunch of (edit: Caucasian) superhumans (including a blond-haired, blue-eyed one) beating up a Jewish LGBT woman with yellow (edit: six-pointed) star imagery because they're jealous.
I'm not saying the Nazi-esque imagery was intentional, but it's amusing to look at it through that lens.

Yeah. If only they concentrated that much energy on stuff that really matters, the world would be a better place. But, no. Human rights, helping the disadvantaged, cleaning the environment, making sure the next generation grows up right -- heck, even just getting a job and starting a family -- take a backseat to some animated kids' show that made these idiots soil themselves in rage for some inane reason. So glad I stopped cartoon blogging...
It was. It was the second episode of the series where Peter crashes his car into the town's satellite TV station and cuts off the town's TV reception. The Willy Wonka cutaway was used to illustrate that Peter gets hooked on things easily and is a bad liar (after Peter declared that he can live without TV).
