Timestamp on the first image dates back to August 27, 2014. Style of writing dates back to the "foreverially delitized tiedup and loving it" meme, which KYM asserts was popularized around 2013 on /v/ which is consistent with my memory of events and lines up with this image's timestamp.

Rather than just being garbage fetish material to cringe or laugh at, I often find myself thinking of these pieces because they are so bizarre and grotesque. They depict a dystopian/post apocalyptic future marked by the intervention of cruel and capricious gods that influence the world war that humanity is fighting against itself. What I always come back to is the Vanta Black God watching endlessly the earth, waiting for a pure soul to whisk away on the greatest journey of all time. Something about it has managed to capture my interest and I, too wonder whether or not there will ever be anyone perfect enough to take the Vanta Black God's journey.

Reverse searching the images leads to an archived /tg/ thread from 2019 which indicates that these were made by someone originally called Circumsoldat (dead twitter), who now goes by DTstat. Unfortunately, he appears to be just as porn addicted as the average tartlet. Oh well.

most of it is probably just a result of this being big popular FOTM and a lot of people started drawing it because in this era of the internet the peak of comedy is "haha guys what if current thing zoomies like... and also porn! haha yes, SEX INTERCOURSE! FUNNY!" and they can't tell the difference between a joke and what arouses them anymore

or how apparently e-children saw so much minecraft porn that they classically conditioned themselves to be aroused by the minecraft artstyle, yes this is absolutely a real thing, no i dont have any articles to prove it this is just my personal theory based on observation

we greatly limit ourselves when we assume every time someone draws something weird and hard to explain, that it's necessarily erotic to them, that it's a sexual fetish
it's much more interesting to consider how it might not be
is it really impossible for this to be some kinda autistic fixation? maybe a weird focus on either spinning itself, or just this hyper specific type of drawing?
whether or not this in particular IS fetish art doesn't matter, i think we need to stop for a moment, in regard to every weird artist or art trend we see, and wonder how it might not be sexual. hell, i'd wager it's even possible for things like penis beasts and super hyper bimbo pussy monsters to not be erotic to the artist. sexual, yes, because the topic itself is inherently sexual, but they might not be getting aroused by or getting off to it....

The fetish isn't new either. I've observed this at least a couple years ago. It's really weird how people can get fetishes for something I cannot even fathom being aroused by.
