I think I might have an idea:

It was a day that no one would forget. Mario realized he had enough of the shit they kept putting him through. That's when he blew up the entire kingdom and most of its population before blasting off into deep space to continue his murder spree. When Bowser and Kirby heard of this revelation they were proud of the plumber for finally coming to his senses and joined up with him. Even the Clown Car was mildly pleased by it.

During his spree on the Kingdom, the Princess managed to escape death, but Mario managed to shoot her in the brain. Making her henceforth mentally retarded. The Lumas, upon seeing the destruction he was causing, tried to capture Mario and hold him responsible for the crimes he committed. "You bastard!" They yelled as he flew away from them, into parts unknown. All Rosalina could do is just watch and facepalm at the sight of all this. Opting not to do anything, in the vain hopes that this would all blow over in the weeks to come.
