I wonder if the dA mods are blowing everyone every now and again. Doesn't put my mind at ease, but it would explain why they don't take action towards the creepers and crack down on the innocents.

It'd also explain why the forums there are a hellhole.

He paints naked children, doesn't photograph them. BIG legal difference.

To be fair, naked children have been a staple of art throughout history.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why everyone sees this artcow's work as extremely creepy -- most of all because there is little innocence in the way he depicts the children, it is very sexualized! I just wanted to point out that "naked children" as a sujet doesn't necessariliy mean pedobear is lurking nearby and that painting them (even in a sexualized way) is not illegal in most countries I know of.

But here's the difference- Those weren't meant to be used for fetish-related purposes. This guy's art clearly is.

They make it pretty clear that sexual fanart of underage characters is not okay. I guess because this guy's porn is painted to look "artistic" that makes it okay.
 
DeviantArt has really awful moderation. I've mencioned elsewhere on this forum that it once took four years for me to hear back about a report.
