Denmark won’t allow any refugees into the country this year under a United Nations program and will seek flexibility in determining how many may resettle in the future instead of a set quota, the Ministry of Immigration and Integration said.
Since 1989, Denmark has pledged to take 500 refugees a year selected by the UN for resettlement. The program is separate from European Union efforts to distribute migrants among member states, which has encountered fierce opposition from countries including Hungary.
“It’s hard to predict how many refugees and migrants will show up at the border to seek asylum, and we know it may be hard to integrate those who arrive here,” Danish Minister of Immigration and Integration Inger Stojberg said in a statement on the UN program on Saturday. “Hence, I would like to see a more flexible quota regime, so that we are prepared, but not obliged, to take a certain number of refugees for resettlement every year.”

There are millions of them in Turkey and Lebanon primarily. The thing is, they're actual refugees living in camps who want to go home. They're actually from Syria too. And, rapefugees don't just come to Europe. They travel though European countries to ones that have the most gibs and best economies. Nobody is stopping in the fucking Balkans. Their motivation is proof enough of their intentions.
An anti-refugee sentiment has been rumbling for some time now in Syria. "Why are all these fighting aged men fleeing when SAA is in desperate need of recruits"? Two of the last major IS strongholds, DeZ and Raqqa, are in the process of being taken right now. General Issam Zahreddine held the Deir ez Zor pocket while under siege from IS for over 3 years. He is viewed as a national hero on the level of Patton, Montgomery, or Zhukov. He went on national television yesterday and said the following:
If the state forgives you we(the besieged) will never forget or forgive you.
Syria and Iraq are going to be well fucked for the foreseeable future and this is only adding to it. Not Libya fucked up, but IS was basically destroyed and chased into the desert by 2009. They came back far more powerful after secretarian tensions came to a boil. Everyone knows Arabs don't let anything go. Your tribe fucked my tribe over 100 years ago so revenge killings are cool today type shit. The real refugee situation isn't going to be quickly or easily solved and the powers that be will ride that out before finally saying "fuck you, take in more brown people you Nazis".
