What is the best class?

I fucking give up on the stubby mastery. This shit is complete AIDS. The weapon itself is garbage solo, and they chose the worst possible biome for it (Azure Weald). Just alt+f4'd out of a run where I had 4 wardens at the same time, no piercing, supply pod that required a full area's worth of mining + twins.

The main difference seems to be an inability to consistently play with weapons that I actually enjoy
They'll never take all my flamethrowers!

Shirt that says "Diggers"
The digger joke is as old as the game but curious how they didn't do anything with it until after the Sseth video.

I did it last night but I got Electricity, double clip size, and double projectiles as overclocks so your RNG may vary.

Yeah, nah. This mastery really can go fuck itself. Why are multiple wardens even fucking allowed to spawn.

Passing on a game to a completely different developer seems to slowly becoming a trend. Don't mind it at all, since it's probably down the line the only way we finally get that perk rework.

From what I've heard they're located basically "next door", so maybe it won't be shit, especially since they're Danish and not a bunch of some Indian retards. I don't want to contribute to that toxic positivity of DRG fandom, but the previews look quite good, so I won't turn into a doomer even tho I don't like the game being developed by another team. Oh well, we'll see how that goes.
The scarab enemy looks like absolute cancer to fight, I like the idea of "cave leech but in the ground" concept, the new biome looks awesome and the weapon frameworks are really nice, basic but clean. I wanted a framework like this for a long time.

Iirc, they said that new season wouldn't drop before EA RogueCore, and they've pushed that to Q2 of 2026, so even getting this season in Q1 and not Q3/4 is a massive win for us, if the quality is there of course.

A new dev is probably the only way we'll get any new DRG content at this point. I heard rumors season 6 was allegedly their last big update planned is this true or is it more reddit retard rumors?

Sounds like reddit retard rumors. Abandoning your core product with a loyal diehard fanbase that gets 12k players daily would be retarded.

Has anyone ever actually used this system? Compared to Defender's advantages it feels like a meme upgrade.

I like running Hawkeye system. Iirc the other one limits sentry targeting range to 160 degrees while Hawkeye allows for a full 360 degree targetting and a much longer target range which can sometimes come in handy in certain situations. The laser pointer priority also helps my sentry avoid wasting ammo on bugs with unbreakable armor

The damage one is probably better overall but if you're lazy like me and don't want to have to micromanage your turret position as much Hawkeye is good for drop and forget (excluding reloading it)

Both of those nodes should have been hit with a balance pass years ago. I don't think the downsides of defender are felt at all when using the double turret and the damage from hawkeye is pitiful with the double turret. There was a time when I would bring solo turret and hawkeye on elims but I've accepted that double turret is too good to pass on.

Running Gemini Defender turrets means there's no downside and the potential for huge upside. You can either place the turrets back-to-back so you get effectively full 360 coverage with increased ammo efficiency, or overlap their firing lines so you have a high damage killzone in a critical area. Hawkeye's increased range mostly means your turrets will fire at enemies too far away to matter. There's the occasional position where it'll get webbers or spitters that the regular turret couldn't reach, but in any situation where you have the 10 seconds to prepare a nest you can build a platform roof to block those sightlines anyway.

Engineer's original weapons might have the most useless mods and overclocks in the entire game. As an example, all the damage mods on the PGL are completely useless because of the way Incendiary works; it'll always set everything less durable than a Guard on fire in the whole AoE no matter how much or little damage it has, and you're always taking Incendiary on the PGL unless you're running either Hyperprop or Fatboy, in which case you're forced to take the armor break or projectile velocity mods respectively. Since Incendiary doesn't care about damage, RJ250 compound is strictly better for general use than every overclock that isn't Hyperprop or Fatboy, which are situational. In total that's 4 dead mods, 1 whole tier that's a completely forced choice based on your overclock, and 3 overclocks that are strictly worse than RJ250. The PGL badly needs a rework simply because there's so little actual choices to be made when building it.

Defender is only good until you realize it has a 180 degree limit to your sentry targeting. Its better in theory but in practice 90% of the time it will fuck you over.

I think the main problem with Hawkeye is that the target prioritization requires you to ping an enemy... which in co-op usually signals your team to gang up on whoever you want dead, leaving the turret with nothing.

Has anyone here had any luck beating harder difficulty stuff solo in this? What class?

Every class but scout should be able to beat haz5 solo fairly easily once you have good overclocks and know that going fast is good. Scout needs specific builds that emphasize AoE way more than normal, since his base kit is terrible at waveclear. Your choices are fire bolt crossbow or double barrel boomstick, nothing else is good enough. Haz5+ gets crazy and I haven't tried it solo.

I don't really play solo but all the insane modded footage I've seen was done on scout since your mobility is so good you don't have to care about enemies.

That's people being good at the game. They're playing grappling hook the class, not so much traditional scout. In similar games, unless there's such an overwhelming firepower option that it trivialized the game, hyper mobility is almost always the choice of soloists if it's available. It's true in darktide with stealth zealot, it's true in vermintide with handmaiden.
It's also funny to see the juxtaposition of the "kick, rape, and murder the scout" meme with genuinely skilled players styling with it. Part of me wonders if it's two camps of redditors jerking themselves off, one over the scout's ineffectiveness, and the other over the m1000 being the "best gun" in the game (it's not).

And I guarantee you they're using either the crossbow with the Fire Bolt OC and pheremone bolts, or Double Barrel boomstick.

Not if there is no cashflow. The revenue geberated by DRG is probably not enough for even one man to work on it full time. It is what it is.
