I think he didn't see your reply because it looked like you replied to your own comment on your profile, which he won't get a notification for and probably won't see. You might try hitting the reply button below one of his comments like his latest one and copying your reply to there.

Do we have a reason why favoriteing something without having art is a bad thing? Like does he lose money over it? Do the blank profiles remind him that he can't do backgrounds? It's a weird ass thing to get pissy about.
As far as I can tell, from his ramblings on the subject, it just bothers him in some spergtastic way, similar to and making about as much sense as Chris Chan's spergatory over Sonic's blue arms causing him some sort of sensory distress. Like it offends his OCD sensibilities of what Deviantart is supposed to be all about. He is firm in his belief that non-artists do not belong on Deviantart, and that anyone who had an account MUST have artwork of any sort, be it something in writing (like terrible poetry), or MS paint stick figures, or photographs/selfies. He sees people especially who have dA accounts for upwards of 5+ years as "lazy" for not uploading anything, that people who aren't artists don't have the right to even look at his artwork, and he firmly believes he has the right to tell people what to do.
You were expecting a sensible and logical reason? This is deviantArt after all.
