Assuming it’s possible the deficiency falls outside the scope of his bankruptcy, it is still possible for them to extract some easy money out of him. Since he no showed it’s pretty easy and cheap for their proceedings moving forward and their council isn’t racking up a lot of billable hours. It could take them a long time and effort to collect in house, but they could easily sell 30k to a collection agency. It might only net them 6 or 3 thousand but it’s a quick way to pay for the lawyers or squeeze a bit more out of Phil.
Even though it’s not a large amount of money, contrasted with bankruptcy proceedings they have this shit on easy mode so they might go for it.
