Assuming it’s possible the deficiency falls outside the scope of his bankruptcy, it is still possible for them to extract some easy money out of him. Since he no showed it’s pretty easy and cheap for their proceedings moving forward and their council isn’t racking up a lot of billable hours. It could take them a long time and effort to collect in house, but they could easily sell 30k to a collection agency. It might only net them 6 or 3 thousand but it’s a quick way to pay for the lawyers or squeeze a bit more out of Phil.

Even though it’s not a large amount of money, contrasted with bankruptcy proceedings they have this shit on easy mode so they might go for it.

None of the creditors owed $140k+ contested his bankruptcy. Some were owed well more than $10k.

The reason they didn't fight Phil is they had to have known for YEARS of looking at statements he paid minimums/fines and never EVER paid those fucking balamces down.

I think they give as much thought to Phil as they would to a pimple on their back. The only one suffering with this delay is Phil, who continues accruing new HOA bills, which are not subject to bankruptcy. Once MF takes title, they're the ones who owe the HOA bills. If what Phil asserts is true, he had to explain why she was getting emailed about his collection of wrestling jpegs. That's not the story verbatim, I'm sure, but Phil has bitched about us deranged nudniks supposedly delaying his bankruptcy proceedings, and he let slip that he had to explain some shit that shouldn't have had to, blaming us for it. Which I doubt he would have to do if Nancy hadn't found something. She did convert his case into an asset case, after all, despite him claiming to not have any.

I still maintain that she either didn't know what to look for in order to prove to the judge that Phil has the money to pay off his debts as long as he stops wasting it on wrestling jpegs (or whatever she thought it was going to), or saw what kind of person she was dealing with and decided to just get him out of the system for eight years. It's exactly what I expect out of any normie dealing with Phil.

I think this is giving her too much credit. She nailed the obvious discrepancies but that is about it; any idiot can realize that buying cat food without owning a cat or being a streamer without owning electronics is idiotic but actually going through his business expenses line-by-line to figure out if they are allowable would have taken her/her staff tens or hundreds of hours. The fact that the numbers just happened to put him right under the threshold for eligibility and his expenses nearly doubled for one month only seemed to go unnoticed because again, that sounds like work and might go nowhere.

Put another way, it looks like her attitude was "I'm going to rubber stamp this retard's bankruptcy unless somebody does my job for me" rather than "I'm going to veto this retard's bankruptcy unless he documents everything to the tenth decimal place". Except those red flags, in Phil's case, don't lead to the conclusion that he is hiding anything other than an addiction, which, in the debt recovery racket, basically means "This is a dead end". People like Phil are impossible to deal with, they're going to do everything they can to waste money on their vice instead of pay their bills, forever, and virtually nothing can be done about it. Yacht Guy is different, you tell him to sell the yacht and he begrudgingly does it. Everything goes smoothly and by the numbers, something you'll never, ever get out of assholes like Phil.

All anyone had to do was ask for an itemized list/audit of the last 3-6 months of business expenses. There would be no way to prove $5000+ a month was going into a daily game stream and it would have been over there. If they saw his PayPal statements, they would see continuous payouts to Scopely. There is no way that can be explained. They somehow overlooked all this because pigroach luck.

Midfirst has the power right now to actually reignite that fire.
