I still don’t see the parental units bailing him out to the tune of $50k+ because if that were the case, why not just help him pay off the remaining mortgage in the first place? Why would they suddenly turn into Mr. Moneybags now that Phil’s head is on the chopping block? “I TOLD YOU. TO PAY. THE MORTGAGE. WHY DONT YOU LISTEN TO ME? And yes, to answer the question, they DID have the money. They’re just... fuckin stupid.”

Phil IS acknowledging this. He knows this is happening. Otherwise, why were people being banned and having their messages deleted without so much as a peep? I seem to recall the first tip/cheer that came in after we found out about the foreclosure... He read it silently to himself, quietly did the lean in ban, and went on as if nothing ever happened. When Phil is silent about a subject, you just KNOW he’s gotta be rattled. I mean honestly, if Phil wasn’t horribly fucked in this situation and genuinely believed he could squeeze blood from the (collective) stone that is his fanbase, he’d be crowing about detractors or how the government totally and unjustly fucked him over for pitybux. His silence regarding this whole thing, in my opinion at least, is the first major point where we’ve seen Phil absolutely helpless. I feel like he’s waiting to see what the courts are going to do before firing off in a blind tardrage at his cucked supporters for not giving more when he “knows” that they could, “dig deep and start stepping up, he DOES make free daily content for you faggots, dontcha know?”

it honestly looks like phil thinks he'll have to take a week off to "sort this out", can't afford to go to CT court, and is too embarrassed to ask his parents to represent him, or he thinks he need an expensive lawyer and he doesn't want to eat rice for a month to pay for it

as with almost everything to do with financial commitments, he'll leave it until last minute and declare an emergency, where paypigs will perform one of many miracles to let him eat like a king for a month and act like there's nothing he can do

I think his silence on the situation has more to do with his new stance on dealing with trolls prying into his personal life. Until he breaks his silence all we know for sure is that he doesn't see an immediate financial threat.

Maybe, but if he felt he had some kind of upper hand, he's always eager to talk down to and condescend to DUH TROLLS. That he's going complete radio silence and banning suggests he doesn't feel that.

The state taxes are good example. He believed he didn't owe these taxes because he was self-employed and didn't operate a corporation or LLC or whatever. He probably also believed that he wouldn't have to pay any penalties or interest because he didn't know dood. This time is different. There is a win condition, I've outlined what I think it is above, but he won't take it and probably hasn't talked to an attorney who can offer it.

I think your predictions are accurate including the part about him fucking up and not taking the main route out of this mess that leaves him unscathed. Like a Mr. Magoo cartoon though, maybe he wanders into it by blind pigroach luck somehow. I'm nearly fucking used to that to the point of absolute frustration by now.

Another theory: what if he transferred all his money and assets to Kat's account?

You mean as intentionally trying to hide the assets from the creditor?
I think then he just upgraded his liability from "fines" to "jail-time".

I'm not sure about jail time (someone with more knowledge on the subject will have to weigh in), but the court can just say "Naw" and demand a reversal on that asset exchange then take them. Not like he's hiding them in some shell company nobody would find, it's his wife. That's the first thing the government will check.

lol, as if he hasn’t made this same stance against trolls for the better part of a decade now. Phil is your typical idiot who makes the same New Years resolution every year and can never keep up with it. Remember #dspositive?

totally agreed, phil is capable of anything but shutting the fuck up. anybody who watches one or two TIHYDPs will get to know that aspect of him pretty well. if it as you say, then he really must be deeply disturbed by the foreclosure.

He just hasn't figured out how to spin it so it's not his fault.

The CT khando tanking in value is one of the few things that actually wasn't his fault, though.
No, it was his fault. By the time he bought that condo the government had made it clear lenders were engaging in predator lending, that consumers should beware, and that both legislative and executive branches were engaging in a rare display of bipartisan effort to address the issues.

Yes, but Phil doesn't understand or care about any of that. He buys houses because it gets him pussy and it's what adults do.

He sold the same predatory loans when he worked for a bank. Valedictorian

didnt knew he has a degree, the idea of dsp making his way trough college with tantrums is hilarious

It was verified in the main thread but he got a degree in finance (basically the easiest parts of econ + accounting) from a low-tier school within a half hour of his parents' house.

The more important thing is that he probably never used what he learned in his major: He worked in sales at Best Buy until 2006 based on the dates of his NEETbux appeal, which imo means he likely worked there from graduation until his father arranged the Helicopter Support job, and the only job we know he had at the helicopter plant was customer service. Speaking from experience, it's easy to forget things if you don't keep applying them, even if you were interested in them at the time or got an "A" on the term project.....and something tells me neither of those applies to DSP.

He loves to talk about how he could've gone to an Ivy League school but only rich people with connections can get accepted. He ignores the fact that he went to a school that's more expensive and less selective (despite having a student population roughly a quarter the size) than UConn.
