I love how her twitter name is transgirl_mom. Says a lot, doesnt it?

Ever notice how these people preach how gender is a spectrum, but when a kid is trans they always go for the extreme end like in this case a pink girly girl?
 
Ugh. I don't care if you think I'm being a transphobe, but there's no way trans kids exist absent pushy parents.

I'll happily support the right of teenagers who are questioning their gender identity to get involved in all this but I wouldn't allow anyone under 18 normally to commence transitioning. There's a reason "gatekeepers" exist and that's to prevent this sort of horror going on.

I'm reminded rather of Lauren Harries, formerly James Harries, who is a pre internet lolcow and second generation lolcow. And why is she a second generation lolcow? Because her pushy lolcow parents exploited her as a (fraudulent) child antiques prodigy to pay their bills in between committing insurance fraud. Oh, and her transitioning was paid for by Max Clifford.

I bet if these sorts of parents saw someone disapprove of their son playing with dolls they'd lose their shit about enforcing gender norms but it's clearly okay to decree your son is a girl at age 4.

I also suspect there's some sort of subconscious revulsion at bringing up a boy who might be a rapist and might want to get into toxic masculine pursuits such as football and fast cars and vidya involving guns and heavy metal so it's best to aggressively mini-me them now before they can have the opportunity.

I know it makes me a TRANSPHOBIC MURDERERRRRRR to say this but this shit is child abuse.

Kids are being told they are trans because they say 'I want to be a girl' at the same age at which they are still saying 'When I grow up I want to be a train'. This is being done to preschool children. At that age I was still considering becoming a mermaid. No doctor would have fused my legs together and transplanted gills into me. Why are these children being given drugs and (some) surgical treatments?

idgaf what adults do to their own bodies and identities, that's their right. But I give many fucks about what they are allowed to do to children.

This is what I was thinking, too.

Why does the kid need a label? Just let him like what he likes and figure it out for himself. Liking Barbies doesn't mean a kid should have to deal with osteoporosis.

Yeah, someone posted earlier that Debi has another son who is "gay".
I wonder if she sees the older kid as some sort of failed experiment and has actively pushed him to "come out" at the same age as Avery, but was disappointed when he didn't get the media attention she clearly desires.
That would explain why she made her next victim/son as extreme as possible, namely a "4 year old trans girl".
 
This woman's entire identity is based on her child being transgender. If that's not indicative of the fact that she is incapable of being trusted to make decisions about what's in the best interest of the child and not her own, then I don't know what is. If your kid wants to wear dresses and have pink hair and play with dolls, fine, but surgical and pharmaceutical gender reassignment treatment on children is just wrong. They can't be trusted to make irreversible decisions on their own behalf, and parents with agendas clearly can't be trusted, either. This should be illegal.

The tragic part is they're trying to justify this with "She isn't being given hormone blockers until shes a teenager and is old enough to make that decision." and morons are eating that up as the child having a choice and not being forced into anything.
That would be all well and good if the mother hadn't heaped on a ton of expectation and spotlight onto this child. They're gonna grow up with the pressure of knowing everyone expects them to follow through, take the hormone blockers and eventually transition. In the end this will end like an extreme version of children who are raised with unreal expectations of their achievement or career; they'll feel compelled to live up to the expectations at the expense of their own wants and needs rather than risk being seen as a disappointment. Dress it up in all the rainbow hair and unicorn fart sparkles you want, you're molding this child to only have one choice in the future and that choice is to be what you want them to be, not who they are inside.
 
It's a shame something like this won't happen. (Father gets court to remove 7 year old 'trans girl' from mother, soon after is playing with boys toys, dressing in a male way and has completely given up on the idea that they are female)

I want to be sympathetic to transgendered people, but I know many of them just do it for attention. What i just learned about these puberty blockers actually makes feel sickened and horrified. If I had a son who insisted he was a girl, I would try to be respectful, but there would be no fucking way in hell I would give him puberty blockers.

Much as some trannies might hate it, they were born with their bodies for a reason. It's better to not mess up the plumbing or hormones with pills or surgery, whatever else you might do to your outward appearance. That poor child is going to be so, so, so messed up. Being homeschooled will only make him/her even more of a special snowflake, imagine how Avery is going to be in the teen years.
 
What bugs me is that there's legitimately dysphoric adults who come to lament transitioning. This isn't because they aren't dysphoric, it's because the human brain is a ridiculously complicated series of chemicals and no two are quite the same. Transitioning may help many, but not all, and for some the better option is learning to cope with a body that isn't quite "their own" because the alternative is worse.

If that's the case in the actual medical field, then what fucking chance to these kids have?

I'm well versed in Labelleian bullshit but maaaan this line really irks me every time for one reason; it reinforces the idea that these tumblrfucks don't just want to be allowed to live how they wish, they want it to be the norm. Meaning NOONE should be allowed to experience a natural puberty in a body they're comfortable in because they don't get to.

Another scenario is when parents have a revulsion to a sissy, feminine boy who can't keep up with the Joneses macho football player son, or they have a revulsion to the possibility their son will grow up to be an effeminate gay man. They rationalize that transing their kid fixes the gay, so they get the "you're really a girl" indoctrination started early. I have seen this accusation pointed at Jazz's mom and dad.
 
I've read some into the whole transgender subject, and something transpeople themselves often state is that they notice early on something's not right about them. I've watched an interview with a trans woman who stated she wanted to cut off her dick as a kid. So, like, I believe that kids can notice they don't feel like the gender they were born as, and I imagine they don't feel good about that.
I know there are legit cases where trans People notice something's off very early on.

What makes this whole Thing really fucking fishy to me is the mom constantly putting her kid into the Spotlight and emphasizing their being transgender. That's pretty humiliating tbh. Wouldn't the normal Response of a supportive parent be to just say "yea thats my daughter" instead of "this is my #transgirl #transkid #transgender #mtf #lgbt daughter"? The constant emphasis strikes me as odd, esp bc I've had the Impression before that most trans People just quietly want to do their Thing ...

Imagine what will happen if the kid decides "fuck this, I'm not a girl", though :(

Think about Jazz. His family's financial welfare, his mother's reason for living, his own life, all his fame and attention from anyone, are all totally dependent upon him being trans. There's no way he can go back now. Supposedly blockers are reversible but there is no way Jazz could handle the fallout of destroying his family's income and their reason for living. He is stuck.

On his show it has been revealed that he has ongoing depression and sometimes suicidal thoughts. He has also complained that boys don't want to date him. Heck no, hetero boys aren't interested in a fake girl with a real penis. (edit: and gay boys don't want him because he looks like a girl.) His parents and doctors have set him up to be forever without a love life, unless some creep with a fetish for girly boy dicks manages to snag him, or some fame whore that just wants in on reality TV.

I really feel bad for what his mom and doctors have done to him.
