Also think about it, social justice is about women. A guy isn't gonna get entrenched in SJ ideology when the entire community is vocal about their dislike of men. Women see the SJ community as a positive place and a respite from oppression but then get sucked in and start preaching the same "kill all men" garbage.

And that leads to crackpots like this lady taking it to the extreme and thinking women are really the dominant gender and that her son absolutely has to be a woman, not cishet white male scum.

I don't think that's nearly as widespread as SJW-ism among women. Also having your wife/gf get fucked by another dude while you know/watch has been a sexual fetish for a long time, much longer than Tumblr. It's just a popular insult now.

How old is the other kid she has? Calling it now: he was around Avery's age when being gay was the big sjw thing and Mad Momma decided her little angel was one of the brave gay kiddies. Any info on whether she courted publicity the same way with the brother?

A few years later and no-one bats an eyelid at being a faggot, Mom is hankering for attention and her gay youngster isn't interesting to people any more. Handy that Avery is the perfect age for this whole bullshit to begin again, but with trans instead of gay this time.

Kinda surprised she hasn't trooned the older kid too. Hopefully he's not too fucked up by not being Mommy's little star any more.

He will certainly not have been taught about what dysphoria really is, given Jackson's overall pushing and demeanor, and will not be able to articulate it unless he falls in with people not in the SJW cult. The thing that upsets me the most about all of this is that it's so obvious that Debi is pushing her kid to be trans, regardless of if that is the case or not, and structuring so much stuff around "trans kid trans kid trans kid" that there's no way in hell this kid's going to survive and be anywhere close to mentally healthy.

And, given some of the stuff about blockers and hormones, probably not physically healthy, either. The issue I have with blockers is and hormones is that, in the case of hormones, some of the changes are permanent and will affect the child for the rest of their adult life, including their sex life, their ability to have children, and aspects of their sex characteristics and how dysphoria works. In the case of blockers, we don't know the long term effects. It's not ethical to do either to children or to anybody who is not in medical need of it. This is why informed consent clinics and the push for hormones for children is disturbing.

The issue of being stealth or out is a big debate in the adult trans community and considered a very personal issue/choice. Even if Avery did somehow defy statistics and was actually trans, instead of mommy queerest being a shitstain Munchausen's by Proxy abuser, Avery will have no choice in whether or not they're out and everyone knows about that medical history. Instead of it not being made a big deal of, just something that was the case but not anymore, it's going to be made into a big deal and a big part of Avery's identity, given how his mom's acting. Regardless of if he's really trans or not, with how his mom's acting, it's going to be made out to be his identity, instead of personality traits like being kind, or cruel, or snarky, or anything that says anything substantial about a person. Instead, just "trans girl."

My sister has Down's. Most of the time, even in a thread like this, I'm sort of numb to what's going on, but this truly disgusted me. Most people with Down's aren't capable of living on their own. The fact that this child couldn't type her own Kickstarter (and for all we know, may not be able to read) and is still being set up for life-changing surgery and hormones is profoundly disheartening and disturbing.

Absolutely. Avery's gender is actually being controlled more carefully than the average cis boy who's born to some fundie hicks. If he ages out of this he will realize at some point that telling his mother the truth will make her look like a fool, he might even be scared she would hate him or stop seeing him as special. She's put a lot of pressure on her kid to stick with his first answer.

Even though logically one kid detranstioning doesn't mean all that much, but to Avery who is raised in such an environment it probably would feel like a very big deal, like the entire trans community would come after him for being wrong.

It's quite odd because most transtrenders pretend to be so accepting and supportive but they'd tear apart anyone like Avery who was transitioned and then realized that they weren't trans. It's almost like they feel betrayed in some bizzaro way and only make friends based on your identity rather than your personality.
 
I finally saw the Nat Geo cover with Avery and I have several issues with it.

1. If Nat Geo wanted to do a "groundbreaking" trans issue, they should have chosen an 18+ trans. 9 is too god damn young, Also, they could have featured one transman and one transwoman on the cover, to offer a more balanced perspective on trans. Not a little boy. (yes, I said it, boy)

2. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH PINK??? Isn't this just reinforcing the gender stereotypes of girls and pink? The pink hair would have looked so much better in its natural color and balanced out the pink of the outfit.

3. Speaking of, that's a pretty shitty outfit. It looks almost like pajamas, and the top and bottom don't match. I don't know about you guys, but if I was going to be on the cover of National Geographic, I would put a little more thought in my outfit.

4. Avery looks somewhat... idk, pouty. Definitely not someone who is happy with himself.

I feel like they were going for the whole "just a cool regular young girl that wears comfy clothes,,, look she's a Real Girl!!" kind of thing but what they failed to realize is no girl of that age looks like a bottle of pepto bismol.
 
That's what I like to call the "Fuck, I gotta go to the grocery store and no one can watch my kid. Get in the car sweetie." outfit.

The overabundance of pink makes it feel like they're just trying to force you to see the kid as the most girly girl to ever girl. Most biological girls don't dress like they stumbled out of a Barbie catalogue.
