As someone who has had the dubious honour of being around lots of trans people, they are anything but happy and confident. They are miserable. They do nothing but obsess over their boogeymen (mainly TERFs and right-wingers) as an external locus of blame for why they still aren't happy. They know they aren't really trans, no matter if they're truscum or tucute, and they know deep down that they're running away from something -- sexual trauma, inceldom, femaleness, or some other thing. If they come off as "happy, brave, and confident", that's because they're narcissistic enough to force society to accommodate their fetishes and delusions that they know are things they could keep to themselves. What they're doing is anything but brave and confident. What confident man would pretend to be a lesbian to get easy sex? What confident woman would insist she's so not like the other girls that she's not even a girl?
