Let's just say that such character is quite resilient against negative CYOA events, but you still want to buff strength and get SMG with lots of ammo for the end game.
Chainsaw would be good too, but fuel has nasty tendency to deplete before you get to the border.
 
Ooh, I will make that type of character for my next run.
