You're really gonna take OBD seriously on Death Battle?

AkumaTH does research, but has no bearing on the actual fights. How would he know how battles are decided?

And that first one about Ben liking Superman better is BS. If that were true, you'd sew all the most wanked Superman feats. But bah, they just took the most bland ones.

Basically one of the OBD posters (can't remember the name, foxlurker or something like that) had a friend who did VA jobs, said friend auditioned for some DB role and he got leaks from there. The leaks proved to be mostly correct, so that one guy I'm pretty sure was solid on his shit. Haven't kept up with the thread (or the OBD, or the general Vs debates shit) since years so shit could've changed, but around the time Weiss vs Mitsuru was being done the information was overall accurate.

The thing about Superman I don't remember exactly where I got it from, but I'm pretty sure it's true too.

And the Superman thing might be true for someone in the DB team, but not Ben. Or Chad. Ben is a huge DB fan, he even got Christoper Sabat in one of the fights. Chad actually stated he hated Superman after researching the first fight.

The show would be better served if they were just honest. Pick two characters, go through a list of their feats/skills/history then say "and now they fight and our favourite/fan voted victor wins"

This pseudo science bullshit with bad math and TNT is noticeably dumb and worthless. Stop pretending to be a smart show, just have fun.

The poster made a list of fights who were mostly correct at the time, so I don't think his information was untrustworthy. It was just too big of a list to be a coincidence. The OBD at large doesn't care much for Death Battle, it was about 6 to 8 posters in that thread unless something related to the OBD at large happened (like the one time they borrowed one of the calcs made by their users). The only real OBD agenda as far as I can tell is copeposting 101.

As a sidenote, trying to find the quotes on the Ben liking Supes shit I found that the writer for Ben vs Green Lantern was LSwan, some OBD/VBW lurker so that's something for the thread.

I thought the announcer was annoying in the first video, but this one makes me crave the sweet release of death.

Cancer aside, the videos aren't fucking awful, but the amount of wasted time (3 minutes of ad + dumb jokes introducing characters) is annoying. I'd say they should just skip straight to the fights after the title card, but YouTube doesn't like short videos.
Verdict: Just go watch some random fan animated version instead, less of a waste of time and probably funner.

If those guys still work at RT, it's likely their characters dont fit the bloated "mini" format they're trying. Or budget cuts necessitate a small cast.

No, Wiz and Boomstick are still around. The new guy (whose name I can't remember at the moment) is only around for spinoffs, and Wiz and Boomstick are still in Death Race.

If those guys still work at RT, it's likely their characters dont fit the bloated "mini" format they're trying. Or budget cuts necessitate a small cast.

I have no idea how connected Death Battle is to RT nowadays, but Wiz and Bommstick and the guys who play them are still with the channel.
