What makes him better than the other front liners? I can't say I've had much trouble with a Billy, good wardens on the other hand unless I have dispel ready makes me hate life.
The fact that you can dispell it at all is probably a big part of why Warden gets run as a gun carry more than as a frontline/tank. Abrams stuns you and I’m pretty sure that isn’t a dispellable thing. Billy’s and Mo’s cc’s are tied up in their ults, so can only be dealt with higher-tier items like Divine Barrier if even that.

BIlly ult isn't too bad since you can null it by line of sight so Eshift, warpstone, and counterspell works on it too.

I tried standard game mode to unlock Silver in rank and it’s literally formed like the low priority queue. What is Valve’s problem?

Playing Billy into Bebop is miserable. I know that’s playing a pretty bad laner into an ok one, but goddamn. Am I just supposed to rush dispell somehow before the lane phase is done or buy egg and wash my hands of it? Should I start training up with Yamato as a 3rd instead if the idea is to go into ranked with frontline characters?

The Mo game I played after that was a Mcginnis and I into Venator/Graves. That’s also a bad lane for my fat, two-headed main but at least we won that game.

If bebop's a problem in lane you should buy grit and upgrade it to reactive barrier. Early game you can just tank the bombs with it.

Not only can you tank bombs early. It's also a good to invest into indomitable for mid game, then you won't be hooked.

I still haven't played this new match making update. And I think I may give the game another week or so before I do my calibrating matches. due to the negative things people are mentioning

Speaking of negative things…

I did my first 3 placement matches last night as Mo.
The first game was spectactular. The Celeste and I utterly smoked McGinnis/Shiv and we win in pretty short order.

The 2nd was a complete fucking mess due to the Kelvin itemizing like a fucking spirit carry when we desperately, desperately needed the only support on the team to play like one. He also lost his shit about people not backing him up when there was other shit on the map that was more important than his stupid ass. The Infernus I was laning with also had a full-on chimpout because he blew ass and I ended up having to confirm kills.

The third would’ve actually been close if not for our Calico feeding the enemy Bebop 45 stacks of bomb out of lane. I’d get it if it were me considering cover might as well not exist for Mo, but you’re one of the most mobile characters in the game. After this she spent the entire match wandering around map to run urn and jungle while rest of the team was trying to force objectives down. I’m not even sure if I saw her while we got rejuv and were trying to get the enemy base. Might as well have been 5v6.

Edit: In one of them the enemy Doorman’s portals got me stuck in the map geometry. The fuck is the point if having an avoid button if it doesn’t do anything?

Is it still a double post of they’re half a day removed from each other?

Did two games tonight and won both. First was Victor and I think my read of needing to switch him for a puree frontline might have had at least a bit of merit.. It cannot be overstated how fucking miserable his early game is, especially if you’re going into a lane that can afford to play aggressively ala. the Venator/Paige from this. Things stabilized by the end, but I needed to farm jungle more. I’d also forgotten how funny it is getting refresher and just not going down.

Second was as Abrams. He also has a pretty miserable lane. I’m way less likely to die to something random with him though. Been running pure spirit like I would on Mo and Victor instead of gun/hybrid on him and I’m starting to wonder if that’s a mistake. My biggest fuckup in this one was probably trying to initiate with my ult instead of charging in first and using it to catch people in the scramble.

Been playing recently, trying all sorts of characters. It's honestly a hit or miss with what kind of creatures you get teamed with. People who are having fun and enjoying themselves vs people who get absolutely assmad as soon as you even breath something that's not a callout, makes it hilarious when you keep doing it and they seethe even harder. Billy especially brings it out for whatever reason. MOBA combined with a ThPS brings the worst people.

My personal rule of thumb, is throwing the "It's winnable guys, let's work together" and I don't see or hear a bunch of agreements theirs no turning back, it's a Mandated lost.

And then some of my funniest games I've had is a bunch of Russians + Americans just calling each other 'niggers' and laughing in chat how thier's no censorship. Due to that, we winning from start to finish, by just saying "nigger" ,paired with this positive moral.
Thanks Yoshi. You have my money.

Got Seeker, which I honestly wasn’t surpised by. One guy was calling his lane partner a nigger before there were any guardians down. He was obviously the worst player on the team and his lane’s walker was down by like 13 minutes. Definately need to switch Victor out. He’s too easy to just shut down early.

Guess I’m running it down with Billy in standard for a bit.

No name fags, built a team.

Did anyone see the Guild lock LAN's over the weekend, I didn't give shit about it and I didn't see any major news so I guessing it's a nothing burger.

Considering messing with Yamato instead of Billy. I know the goatboy has shown up in every “pro” match as a 1st round pick/ban for weeks, but his sustain seems less reliable due to being tied to the melee mindgame. Yamato by comparison seems much more stable in terms of survivability while being a far better laner. Is anyone with more experience able to tell me if I’m thinking about this correctly for playing frontliners?

I just had to give up on playing support until i get out of the low ranks. Doesn't matter how good i play if my carry behaves like he's recovering from a lobotomy. The straw that broke the camels back was a warden that went 0/15/2, i had the best KDA on the entire team as rem

New update. It's just Balance update.
I also think Zerggy playing McGinnis for DNS 51 contributed to her changes. since he just built gun and was winning all enegaments Abrahams

These are the best news of the year. It's the fucking worst to hit the zipline while chasing someone that's escaping, only to get domed by a singular turret with laser precision before you can even see it.
