With a crossover that acts very passive aggressive towards the old show and implies the "Go" verison is superior (idk what people expected, this was made by TTG writers)

Fans just had to grow up and accept the old show wasnt coming back and that, like it or not, TTG just gave WB what they wanted more than the original version. Its a harsh lesson but one they all had to learn the hard way about how the industry works.

Besides, the show is cheap to make so there is also that.

Tho I do love how in that Crisis of Infinite Earths movie, they show the OG Teen Titans's universe getting erased while the TTG universe is intact. I unironically believe they were told strictly to not have that show getting visually erased (even if none of it is actually canon to their respective universes) as to not possibly negatively affect TTG's reputation and money it brings.

Every time they confirm that The Batman isn’t canon with the DCU, they turn around and tease that Robert Pattinson might be the DCU Batman. At this rate, I think they might do a shared casting but in different settings.
 
Pattinson as Batman would be the smartest choice for the DCU. He is a fan favorite and already established, and I think even James Gunn knows that, but I doubt that’s what he wants.

He has said before that Batman is his favorite.He has even talked about how his version of Batman would be like, how he hasn’t made up his mind for his design for Creature Commandos.

James Gunn clearly wants to do his own Batman. But for better or worse, someone already made a great Batman. Unlike literally everything else, Batman doesn’t need to be rebooted to get a strong movie prescense. And Pattisn’s Batman already would work great for their Superman becuase, unintentionally they are opposites in the best way possible.

Gunn wouldn’t have to waste time risking if yet another Batman would be popular. If they (Reeves and Gunn or whomever) swallow their egos and learn to share their toys, they could make something huge. It’s a no-brainer.

For Gunn's DC, for now, I would just give Batman's villains movies with Batman himself in them to different amounts. And have Batman be in crossover movies.

Save solo Batman-led movies until Matt Reeves is done with his stuff. Also, Batman movies being told from the villains' perspective is something fresh and hasn't been done in the movies yet.

I liked caped crusader but there was a bit too much build up. It didn't hit its stride till the last 4 or 3 episodes. Im still glad they are doin season 2. I legit think the new Batman has a voice on par with Kevin and I want to see more of him.

Bit of both…

DC lost many talented individuals due to a myriad of reasons and as said in my post about DC Nation, had tons of potential series that got squandered. Between DC Nation and the new Batman and Superman, we went roughly 10 years with barely any new DC cartoon series, only having the underrated JL Action and the awful Harley show - and that one Batman cartoon literally no one remembers as it was online only: Batman Unlimited.

TTG was the DC cartoon of the 2010s and it’s entire existence is due to toy manufacturers.

There's a risk they take too long and Pattinson gets too old to be Batman at this rate.
Speaking of movies, I watched nu-Supes. Is this the Superman for Reddit? It would explain a lot:

It's cringe. Sure, it's not painfully bad nor overtly long like say Guardians of the Failaxy 3, but it feels like a combination of safe edgy, serious plot, and Silver Age bullshit, all at the same time in a jarring combination. The movie doesn't know whether to be serious or zany, and tries to be both. Characters show up without introduction and/or do very little and we're expected to care (how did the Justice Gang form? Who's the new Hawkgirl? What was Mr T.'s deal? Why is Guy lazing out here on Earth instead of working his rounds in space?). Luthor tries too hard to be over-the-top and it doesn't feel natural. Superman spends like half of the movie being beaten around, but at least he's not literally raped, I guess? Oh, and Krypto was race-swapped (species-swapped?) because Gunn wanted his dog in the movie, but said dog is clearly not trained at all and more of a danger than anything, embarrassing for a dog-owner to see.
Then there's the fact that it's clearly safe-edgy as mentioned, as the no-name brownie that no-one knows or cares about is killed to show how EEEEVIL Luthor is, instead of something that would have caused more of an impact like shooting or kicking that dog, but we can't have real evil anymore. Oh, and that act is enough for the Meta guy to realize he should leave this place ASAP (the pocket universe Alcatraz wasn't enough, it seems). Where does Morpho come from? No idea, the movie barely explains it.
Then that fight scene kinda seems to ignore the literal hole in the ground growing, kek. Finally, there's not-Palestina and not-Israel/Russia, with a bad guy that's the unholy combination of Trump, Putin and Satanyahu at the same time. Said evildoer is killed horribly, but of course (what happened with the whole thing of Supes going out of the way to protect life? I guess it's okay to kill if it's THE EBIL NAAZI ORANGE MAN!).
Oh, and Supes' real parents are now evil because fuck you.

Overall, very mid, but a masterpiece compared to Marvelslop. Such is the state of capeshit movies. At least Cavilsupes inspired respect, even if he was tryhard edgelord, he wasn't constantly pushed around.
That final jab at poor Supergirl was unnecessary and felt like someone hated her for some reason.

I've noticed that multiple Gunn movies have themes of evil parents.
Something tells me that Gunn hates his parents.
He was raised Catholic but he made it clear in the past that he's an edgelord atheist.
2 out of 3 GotG movies have fathers essentially being gods/creators to the characters (Ego to Starlord and High Evolutionary to Rocket) and then the characters fighting back.

His sister has really distanced herself from the rest of her family so I assume that making Supergirl a trashy ho was some jab at her.

I might be just seeing patters where there aren't any but I don't think so.

You also had Polka-Dot Man who got his powers from his dad exposing him with an interdimensional virus in Gunn's Suicide Squad along with Peacemaker's dad being abusive and leading a white supremacist group. The only exception is Ratcatcher seemingly had a healthy relationship with her father.

He definitely has daddy issues for sure. Professor Geek (I think) pointed out the lack of masculinity in his movies and it is pretty noticeable how much of a man child Peter Quill and Supes is. It's easy to get away with it with Starlord since he had no rep before, but Supes has Hank Hill vibes to him, which only makes sense when you've had a positive male figure in your life.

Luthor is easily the worst part of the movie and I cannot understand all the YouTubers glazing him as peak villain when he is objectively an awful Luthor. He is the smartest man in the universe and believes heavily in image, yet leaves multiple traces of his villainy around from straight up killing a man in front of a crowd of people to almost destroying Earth. The man holds no subtlety to anything he does, which is a far cry from best Luthor, who, even when made for 7 year old children, was extremely cunning:

It is also to prepare Kara for the shitty Tom King adaptation where she has lost all purpose and is a sad sack. In saying this, he is probably picking Tom King stories for this reason. In addition to Supergirl he is going to do Mr. Miracle where Miracle is trying to escape his family.
