why would you do something this retarded in your 70's? like damn dude shouldn't you be doing grandpa stuff like household chores and tinkering. gardening, watching sports all day, reading books? instead you're out there putting on dresses and lipstick? c'mon. Imagine having a granddad who created Black Lightning (who because he had a tv show maybe someone else knows about) or just wrote a shitload of marvel comics and some dc work and they show up to grandparents day, not as a superhero writer, but old queer. I'd have hung myself in the second grade bathroom.

I was looking at his bibliography after this and I'm really only familiar with his Hawkman run from the 80s and I know I've read his ghost rider and assorted marvel horror stuff but couldn't tell you anything about it. seems like he basically did absolutely nothing in the industry after the 1980s.

It's even worse in cases like this when they're old as dirt. That's the period of your life as a couple you're supposed to be enjoying retirement and sitting on your porch and just doing other old people shit. Imagine spending like 30 or more years with someone only to lose them to something like this in their 70s. Fucking heartbreaking.

No doubt the writing was great, but Combs is now the definitive Question as far as I'm concerned, as much as Conroy is Batman.

Combs is a class act, he’s doesn’t have to go as hard in his voice acting roles as he does.

Even B-movies he’s done are great, I know his Lovecraft-inspired works are cult classics but a year back, I was drunk, scrolling Netflix and watched “Would You Rather?” where he plays the villian who makes a bunch of scumbags play a lethal version of the game.

He is not only fantastic but is clearly having fun
with it. Would recommend just for Combs chewing the scenery almost interrupted for an hour.

Whole bunch of DC media news just came in.

Most noteworthy to me: 3 new cartoons starting production: Jessica Cruz Green Lantern, "DC Super Powers" (yet another superheroes-as-high-school-students show), and She-Ra but it's Princess Amethyst featuring Starfire.

Apropos of nothing: Remember when stupid people like Lazerbot thought Green Lantern Animated whitewashed John Stewart by making Hal Jordan the star?

There would have been a time where I'd be excited about a Starfire focused project.
