How reliable is DBDR as a narrator? I'm kind of trying to catch up on his story, but I can't tell how honest he's being. I can't help what Stuttering Craig said: "You're either the world's unluckiest man or a liar"

If he starts streaming and sets up memberships/patreon after this, it means he's desperate and has no other options. Either way, he deserves to succeed because he is an excellent storyteller/entertainer. It doesn't actually matter whether or not it's 100% true. It probably is, because in America, orderlies in a group home being ordered to buy $100+ worth of fast food for their charges is entirely believable. This country is really fucked up, and there are millions of people exactly like DBDR, you just don't hear from them.
If he's lying about anything, it will probably come out when he streams.

His various stories still add up to this day, down to tiny details he still reference after a decade from times to times. The few infos we got outside of his channel, like his face dox, are consistent with his narrative. He actively avoided donations and money for years, even while living in his car. Hell, he still does. You could hear he was on the verge of crying in the very last video of his first channel before deleting said channel. This is not an exhaustive list. He may be exagerating some bits, but I 100% believe that there's a solid kernel of truth in there anyway.

Only a complete idiot would go this long without monetizing his work. DBDR is finally doing it because his back is against the wall.
 
its crazy how a lonely, depressed guy is forced into a psych ward against his will (without any proof of wrongdoing) yet the actually mentally deranged narcissistic boomer who was the AGGRESSOR is apparently normal and mentally sound. its like how society coddles a particular demographic of entitled, violent black people, and if you call out their behavior as wrong, you're racist. in this case, if you call people like DBDR's uncle a nutjob, you're boomerist. society loves to kiss old people's asses.

the mental health care in this country is also a joke. somehow treating a guy who's supposedly in a mental crisis like hes a criminal, while getting him hooked on xanax as he wastes months of his life in a room, is a valid solution to his problems. i fear he may go the path of pillstreams at this rate. hopefully not, a redemption arc would be kino. (speaking of kino, maybe he'll finally do that Kino Casino collab now, easy money and exposure)

Yeah, the problem is he literally doesn't know his rights. Because he never really grew up, because he wasn't raised properly, because his parents didn't care, because of that, there was never fostered in him a desire for knowledge or greatness, because of that... etc etc.
It could still be worse.

He's saying that he likes the Xannieberries too much to stop doing them, it might actually be beyond over considering his history with alcohol. He needs to get a grip soon, like yesterday soon, because so far it seems like he's completely succumbing to his most primal urges, and if he picks up another addiction from that it could seriously lead him down a dark path, if not outright kill him.
