Just look at how David has handled life post-Sony/post-Twisted Metal compared to Scott.
Both are credited as co-founders of the series and were basically the head honchos for 1/2/Black/Head-On/TMS3.
Yet the more time passes the more it seems Scott was the professional of the two and David's tard wrangler.
David never wanted to be a game dev, knows very little about programming, studied/has an actual passion for filmmaking (yet not the talent, as showcased by the TM1 deleted endings), and seems his contributions were more about throwing ideas around for Scott to veto/approve (remember Jaffe was such an edgelord in the late 90s he wanted TM:B to have a sluttier Raven, incestual relationships, rape, sodomy, and more famously, show the Preacher choke a baby in holy water, and had to be convinced and reminded by Scott that this idea would never get approved by Sony lest they get an AO rating and all but guarantee a flop since every major retailer would refuse to sell it).
David seems to only have one trick and that trick is passe in gaming. You'd think a guy who is the creator of two of Sony's biggest and longest running IPs would be a big deal at Sony today, yet he's a has-been who looks like a crackhead offering free blowjobs for cheeseburgers.
Scott still works in the business (less and less active currently) and has maintained a private life. It doesn't take much thought to realize who did the most work of the duo and who just had the right ideas at the right time. Neither TM nor OG GoW would get greenlit in today's gaming industry.
