why move him? if we can't just put a bullet in his head, getting beaten and sodomized for the rest of his life seems like a fitting punishment.

The deadline for Brooks to submit his appeal was yesterday. Brooks however instead filed a request for an evidentary hearing.

Update on previous post, Brooks has been claiming that he hasn't received his case files at the jail they moved him to a couple months ago which is why he says he hasn't been able to work on his appeal properly. His former appeal lawyer and the jail staff have all testified in court that he has been given the files and has access to them. The jail staff even testified that Brooks has not asked for his files once.

Brooks sent a letter on December 23rd, postmarked for the 2nd, claiming that the jail is lying and I guess his evidentiary hearing request would be for that. He also asked for another extension, even after the judge said in their last order that he had been given his last extension on this.

I guess being in jail there's not a whole lot else for him to do. He only appears in court by webcam now though so it's not like it gets him out much. I am curious if anyone has tried setting up some sort of interview with him, do remember there was one newspaper that apparently tried around the time of the trial but it didn't happen since they refused to pay him anything.

An interview isn't likely since his location is being kept secret with some saying it's a state pen in South Dakota. Wisconsin holds around 20,000 male prison inmates and a good share of them are lifers who have nothing to lose by murdering him so he will likely have a level of isolation on par with torture for decades to come.
