I was debating making a separate thread for Ask the King today but there's really nothing to this one; not even a full page of forum questions and the show's supposed to start in a few hours. I guess we'll also see how he handles getting questions from Twitter...

The last few Ask the Pigs didn't get a dedicated thread either. There's just no questions which could potentially be controversial or lead to gold dust-filled rants anymore so it's not even worth bothering to contain it in one thread.

This is pretty awesome. What's funny for me is that, I've definitely gotten similar levels of pissed at games before. Playing something with an aggressive rubberband like NFL Blitz against the AI, shouting "another FUCKING interception. Great, so I can't throw it deep basically. It's not an option. What the FUCK is the point of this game if anything not a checkdown is gonna get FUCKING picked?!?!..... OH MY GOD I'm down 2 scores and they have me fumble a kickoff return?! FUCK THIS"

The difference is that it's not my "job" to have strangers on the internet view and laugh at me while I'm doing this, and if I'm unable to pull it back into perspective and think "Yeah, I mean, it's an old game, they used to make them difficult" or "There's definitely a way, I'm just not finding it very easily" etc, I can just turn off the system before my cortisol levels shoot up any higher. Not so for Phil, that's what keeps the lights on.

Every prestream is just a mini Ask the King, and it's been that way for years. I don't know why he bothers.

Pretty much. Leanna wanted Florida above all the states, and Phil just wanted a location that isn't too hot, too cold, no snow because he's such an outdoorsman.

Exactly this. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant and hollow this fucker is. Perfect quote for Phil's "intellect" as Aurelius said it better than me:

He never had an original thought besides "Kojima is a fucking CAWKSUCKER!"


This is also Phil's way of virtue signaling. If he had chosen Facebook in the past instead of Twitter, he would antagonize Twitter. Same with XBOX > PS5 because of Gamepass, Doordash > Burger King because they refunded him shit he was not man enough to talk to an actual person, Phil > paid shills because he is "honest", Youtube > Twitch because all of the sudden he noticed bathtub streamers and other bad practices by Twitch etc.

He tries to find opportune moments, from his point of view, to shit on something he has no business with and thinks he can profit form it in some way (Twitter likes, tips etc.).
 
My favorite "Phil knows nothing of the world in FS" moment was when he said London was on the River "Thaymes." Also, "Truffle-gar square."
