Unbelievable. I mean it's entertaining to yuck it up when Phil knows so little about foreign countries that he thinks that "Ancient Rome" is this carnivalesque area inside Italy where apparently people wear kooky dresses and build kooky buildings he saw in cartoons but he somehow never made the connection that, y'know, that's the shit they built circa 2000 years ago and it stood the test of time, some Roman buildings being kept in better shape than others. I mean there's the Roman Colosseum, the largest amphitheater they ever built which had a max attendance that rivals the biggest modern sports stadiums and he thought that it had a capacity of few hundred people and that it's as small as a little league stadium.

And it's all his fault. He refuses to play fair with companies and he would have to swallow his pride for it.
He always needed mass gifting of subs to get to most of his goals on twitch, even with people having free prime subs. He was used to inflated sub numbers and has to admit that his twitch subs were boosted by gifts.
And yet it will end in failure due to the fact that there are more and more streamers on YouTube and all of them outstrip him by miles.
He truly is just banking on the fact that YouTube will implement this feature to this platform as fast a possible, he's brought up this potential addition multiple times. It's shows that he's not really interested in innovating ways of garnering a new audience for himself on the platform or improving his ability to create new and better content by investing in himself, and business, but by relying on the expertise of some corporation to do all the work for him.

And in addition the Colosseum could also host real naval battles for the amusemtn of the roman citizens (though from what I understand this wasn't used very often). For a lot of people the Flightsim could be a tool to entertain and even educate your viewers. But Phil? uhmmmm no.

Yeah, as you can imagine the simulated naval battles were expensive as shit to set up so even during the height of the empire if you lived in Latium and were at least a freeman you could reasonably expect to see only one in your lifetime.
