As spergy as that game is, I've always enjoyed watching people who are good at it.

I'd never fucking play it, but it's cool to watch.
 
Building Walls Anti-Fascist Protection Ramparts, rigging Olympics and running male escort services for lonely secretaries in the name of industrial espionage is fun, but other games of genre are so much better, allowing you to shoot your enemies as they return from exile on the tarmac, or kidnap them as visit neighboring countries, and of course, throwing them out of helicopters. Even other entries in the same series let you have more fun, like building giant empty hotels or government complexes.

Oh wait, you mean another DDR than what I was thinking, nevermind, sorry.
 
I'm hoping to get a chance to try dancerush stardom sometime soon - fortunately I have a Round 1 close by, and an old buddy who's willing to take the plunge with me.

It's gonna be a mess. We're so fucking decrepit.

The only Round 1 near me is in a mall that's literally 3/4ths empty. They couldn't even keep the Best Buy open.

That would of been something worth a winner rating. Have a fat guy trying to play DDR instead.
 
It's not ddr, but I actually own a pump it up machine, currently set up in my basement. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be though, getting old sucks

I started looking at getting a DDR machine back in the day but I kept hearing that the electricity it used was ridiculous.

Buried somewhere I have a copy of the internal disc for 4th or 4th plus. Turns out if you stick it in a modded PS1 it tries to boot up and gives an error message about the hardware not functioning right.

Then I started moving around periodically and downstairs neighbors means no DDR.

These day's I'm on the ground floor. After the last DDR thread I got stepmania. I just put it in autoplay and threw some lines on the ground with duct tape. I know I'm not able to tell if it's exactly on-beat but it's still good enough for me to hop around like an idiot for an hour or so every now and then when I get an itch.
 
I still have a mat for that game that works perfectly. I play it sometimes on the PS2, mainly as a way to burn off energy in the middle of the night when the gym is closed and I can’t get to sleep. Pretty useful for that much.
 
I'm running an old Mk3 CD based machine, installing stepf2 isn't a possibility without massive upgrades. I've got a premier 2 chip in there, and have my hands on cracked versions of prex and extra that I can CD swap in. also have a few custom mixes on a beta version of the premier 3 engine, although freeze arrows look terrible and it can mess up from time to time
