Maybe Lindsay is doing so badly he hired her to do some editing work. Which is weird, where would he get the money to hire an editor? Surely he's not doing the kind of business that warrants or can even afford an assistant editor.

He was never on Channel Awesome, he was on Lindsay's shitty Chez Apocolypse - you know, where Lindsay took patreon money to "improve" the website, then never did, dodged every question, and claimed "harassment" when people asked about it.
