No one disputes this. The discussion is whether or not he has a valid self defense claim if he was intentionally starting a fight with the intent of shooting the first person to try to attack him. Yes, of course he does — but it’s been well established in legal precedent that you can’t manufacture a situation where you “defend yourself,” which seems to be what Chud did here. As others have said, he might have had a case if not for his internet posts. With those posts however, it makes him look like he was looking for a pretense to shoot someone which is murder/attempted murder and not self defense.
