You forget Derek wanted Cool Cat to have a bit in the 420 awards and in that same award show thought it was a great idea to hire magicians, shit tier singers, and a ventriloquist. Derek also thought it was a good idea to have his Cool Cat twitter account as a way to express his political views.

Basically Derek is an idiot who is out of touch with people.

How the fuck do you write a 110 page script for a movie about cool cat? I'd be lying if I claimed to know anything about the process for writing a movie but 11o pages of dialog from Cool Cat, stupid child actors and Derek seems like way to much.

Not Jason Johnson anymore, unless Derek finds some other sad motherfucker to do it he'll probably do it himself which will result in some pretty hilariously awful editing if they have to be in the same shot.

Y'know what? I actually like the idea of a show about parents+kids redecorating a house together. Outright flipping might be a bit boring, unless it's a competition to see which family can get the highest profit from the flipping.

It'd be cuter if it were a show about Alex and his parents surprising Granny by redecorating her house or something. But obviously Cool Cat shouldn't be there for the reveal, or Granny would have a stroke.
 
How about Cool Cat solves the LA homeless problem?

I'm envisioning Cool Cat catching the black plague and/or typhus and getting lit on fire by an unmedicated schizo with a meth dependency in front of some trendy apartments that just popped up on skid row.

As far as scripts go, 110 pages is relatively short. The average 22 minute tv show is roughly 35 pages in length. So this script is just a little over an hour in length. Then you have to take into account how much of those pages details the random shit like Darek’s knick knacks and clothing

I don't think he's very pro environment personally, he just wanted an in for his kids' character and "going grink" is a popular theme for kids.

People don't have to be solidly right or left either, I think it's healthier to assess each topic on its own and form your opinion on them individually rather than just being "red" or "blue".

Derek does seem to be a classic right leaning boomer though, albeit one who likes to smoke and toke and maybe do some coke.
