what do you think would have happened if they went through with it.
I don't think this would really change anything there isn't really much they actually could copyright there isn't much they actually own. Much of the monster / rules they can't really copyright the only thing they would have is original characters. Also pathfinder would probably not have to many issues either there I believe not an expert on copyright law do.

People would
A.) Bitch moan amd buy wotc shit anyways
B.) Play another game
C.) Play DnD, but go back to pen and paper and ignore wotc per usual.

Haven't they already backtracked on it?

The consoomers would cope, seethe, and pay.

I never understood the idea of watching people play D&D. Granted everyone's different and shit, but D&D is one of those things I'd rather be doing than watching. There's already been plenty of message boards and shit for people to talk, so it's not like you need to watch streams or shit for ideas either; there's plenty of resources and people out there for ideas.

We live in a generation of nigger cattle. Everyone would rather watch activities than put in the brain power or physical activity to do.

This is most apparent in the rise of video game streaming.
