Eh, looks like some kid wearing an adult sized sweatshirt or something. He looks like a little kid being cute, before he became the big kid being gross.
That's what I thought; the picture is primarily about Chris wearing the oversized sweatshirt. Maybe even spontaneously.

He was really young. Cute was fairly inevitable.

This is likely one of the few adult pics of Chris where he almost looks normal. Minus the Sonichu medallion

and awkward pose.

In the "He Can Smell Fear" photo, he could pass for a guy with an eclectic sense of humor and his gal-pal trying (too hard or not hard enough) to be edgy and sarcastic. Really, in that one, if you didn't know him, he could come off as a store clerk trying to cheer up an angsty Wednesday Adams. Of course, after reading the Wiki, we know better.

Really, I can't tell him apart from the preppies I went to school with. And then you look at that damn Medallion and your brain tries to rationalize that it's not weirder than wearing a KISS shirt as a sort of self-defense mechanism.

Of course, that's not a "family" picture, except in the sense of the extended "family" of CWC insiders.

Which is the "He Can Smell Fear" picture?

he looks like a cute toddler here, one any parent would not want to hide in the basement.
then, only a few years later this happened

is it just me, or does it look like his moobs developed early?

Ok correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't autism a condition onset from birth?

Why does he look so so...well normal as a toddler but as soon as he hits 4 or 5 there is clearly something wrong with him?

Autism dosn't effect appearance. There are as many handsome ausies as there are ugly ones.

Most of my friends were JERKS in elementary and middle school and most of them were kind of on the chubby side and looked similar to Chris body-wise. If he actually got off his ass and moved around a bit the weight would probably even out with a pubertal growth spurt.

Autism is congenital but the symptoms aren't usually present unless the kid has severe autism.

It is weird. Like, by 8 years old he has a permanent look of "I've seen some shit in my life". Years of living with Borb for parents, probably.

I guess I'm just used to him wearing ill-fitting (often nasty) shirts that I don't really notice the few situations in which it's actually normal.

My guess is that when he was really little his mental age closely matched his physical age so he didn't look as weird then. But when you're six and mentally two or three...yeah.
